OK I'LL GO 1ST.  I REMEMBER:

1. COUNTRY FARMS MARKET ON CENTRAL AND ROSECRANS.

2. THE ROSECRANS PLAZA.

3. MCDONALDS WHEN IT FIRST OPENED.

4. KINNEY SHOE STORE.

5. SHOP RITE MARKET.

6. THE TACO STAND ON 120TH AND CENTRAL.

7. THE BIG TENT WHERE THEY HAD CHURCH ON 120TH AND CENTRAL.

8. CARVER PARK.

9. THE BIG GHOST HOUSE ON THE CORNER OF 120TH STREET AND SUCCESS.

    - The Sock Hops at Cressey Park on the weekend

    - The Black Students Union Rallys

    - The gathering in the School parking lot after the Big Games

    - The school song and pride when our band would take the field at half time

      OMG!!!!!! Tawnette you name some good ones.  How about:

      1.  STOP Taco stand across from the project. 

      2.  WLCAC or CCC

      3.  Watts Summer Festival

      4.  The Old KDAY

      5.  Jazz Concerts in the projects

      6.  Downtown Compton Taco Stand....I was told it is still there.

      7.  The Boys Club on 120th.  Wouldn't let girls in at the time.

        I remember country farms,lol. We use to buy records there also and i remember when it burn down when a car hit it and caught fire.Me and my family watched it.Who remember Newberrys on rosecrans&central/?Fedco in Gardena,Zody's in Lynwood which is the new Lynwood High School and Mongomery Ward in Lynwood where the swatmeet if?
