- Born in Los Angeles and grew up right there in Compton, or Willowbrook to be exact! After graduating from Centennial in 1971, I spent the next two years at Carnegie-Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA), but never fully adapted to the climate or the distance from home! After a year of working at USC and attending LA Harbor College for a semester, I enrolled at one of our nation's proud HBCU schools....Tougaloo College (Jackson, MS)! Graduated with a Journalism degree. I've been back in Southern California since 1981, and have worked primarily in the insurance industry the past 32 years.

- Married to Patrice (Brinson) Morris for 32 years (1979). We have two sons; Brian and Andrew....and one daughter; Kendra....and two grand-daughters.
