Good morning Lord! It's another beautiful day that You have created and we're blessed to be still here. Lord, we thank You for our lives, our health-be it good or challenged, because no matter how we're feeling right now, we're still here to feel, we're blessed to be alive! Thank You Lord for another chance to say yes to Your will, help us to realize You know what's best for us and it's best to say yes to Your will, for in Your will their is safety, there is peace, there is joy and a since of fulfillment. We're praying one for another, many are sick and in need of Your healing touch--help them to call You Healer and trust You to be Who You are. Lord, please remember the Sister of Apostle R. Berry, the family of Greg Robinson as they mourn the passing of their Father, and remember the Mother of Dr. A. Washington, and the family of Bishop R. Salary.. Some are doing things their own way, help them to call You Savior and surrender their lives over to You. Many are going through, help them to call You Master and trust You to guide them safely to the other side of through. It's a good day and we thank You in advance for the many victories we will share as we live this day in Your loving care, we give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Our Father, we thank and praise You for another beautiful day that You have blessed us to see! It is a new day filled with Your mercy and grace, and because of Your goodness and kindness towards us, the benefits are endless today. Today we can do all things through Christ Who gives us strength. Today we can expect exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think--we can expect the greater. Today no weapon formed against us will prosper. Today goodness and mercy is following us everywhere we go. Lord, help us to know yesterday won't work today, so it's best that we forget about it and live today determined to be all You created us to be today. We will speak positive words and dismiss negative words, thoughts and actions. We will let our light shine and have a great day today shinning because Jesus lives in us! Oh Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Thy Name in all the earth! Lord, we thank You for another beautiful day that You have made. We thank You for eyes to see, ears to hear, a voice to talk, legs to walk and hands to reach out and touch our fellowman. Father, for some their eyes, ears, voice, legs and hands are not functioning the way we think they should, but we thank You for supplying all our needs---seeing eye dogs, hearing aids,sign language, wheel chairs, crutches, canes, prosthetic arms/legs--ALL that we need, You have provided, Great is Thy faithfulness!!!! We praise You for another day, another chance to say yes to Your will. We thank You Lord for today, a day that we can choose to glorify You in all that we say and do. A day that we can choose to speak kind words, smile and give love. A day that we can choose to take You at Your Word, stand on Your promises and believe all things are possible. It's a good day and we praise You in advance for the victory, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Our Father, we worship You because You are holy; You are faithful; You are righteous; You are loving; You are kind; You are compassionate; You are forgiving and You call us friend. Thank You Lord for blessing us to see another perfect day that You have made. We're praying one for another, asking that You will give us the courage to trust the God in us enough to stretch out on our faith and be all that You designed us to be. Help us to stop making excuses and start making proclamations. We are healthy, we are wise, we are strong, we are talented, we are loving, we are forgiving, we are successful, we are beautiful and wonderfully made---we are more than conquerors through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Who loves us. We're praying for little Grant Jackson, asking for Your healing touch. Father as the doctors open up his little chest for heart surgery, we pray for Your guiding hand and Your loving touch. Lord bless and protect his father on the battlefield in Afghanistan. We're praying for young Joshua Lemus, the doctors are shaking their heads, but God You have proven time and time again that You have the final say so. God we're asking for a mighty move from you, bless their families as they wait by their sides, strengthen their faith and draw them closer to You. It's a good day today and we shall rejoice and be glad in it, in Jesus Name, Amen.
O Lord, we praise You for this another day that You have blessed us to see. We thank You Lord for being good, kind, loving, and merciful all the time. We thank You Lord because we know all the days of our lives there has never been a time that You were not there for us. And, we praise You because even the times we were not there for You, You never stopped loving us. Father, this morning we are specifically lifting Mac Hawkins, Fred Jingles and Madeline Paul to You, asking that You will move mightily in their lives, touch, heal and deliver in the Name of Jesus. God, You know their situations and we praise You that You're not intimidated by them because there is nothing too hard for You to do. Lord, draw them closer to You and let Your peace be their blanket of comfort so they will know You're with them ever step of the way. We're praying one for another, asking that You will build a hedge of protection around us and guard our hearts against the attack of they enemy. It's a good day today and we purpose in our hearts right now to rejoice and be glad in it, in Jesus Name, Amen.
WEDNESDAY MORNING PRAYER: Thank You Lord! Praise You Father! We worship You, we praise You, we honor You, we adore You! We love You Lord! We thank You Lord for blessing us to see another perfect day. We thank You Lord for being so good to us all the time. We thank You Lord for being our constant, never changing, very dependable, always faithful friend. We thank You Lord for always making a way and for always hearing and answering our prayers. Lord, we have so much to be thankful for, we pray that You give us the strength to rebuke the complaining spirit and the courage to praise You in advance for working all things out in our favor. Lord, we lift Kala Robertson and family to You, asking that You will move mightily in their situation. Draw them closer to You, so they will know You are God all by Yourself and You love working things together for our good. Bless each eye that reads this prayer, each mouth that speaks this prayer and each ear that hears this prayer. Bless all with the blessings we stand in the need of and we thank You in advance for directing our path to the other side of "through" and for the blessings that are already in place. Glory, glory, glory to our King! To the Lamb Who was slain for our being! We shout glory to our King!!! Praise You Lord Jesus for this another day that You have blessed us to see. We thank You Lord for Your peace, for Your protection and for You provision. You are a mighty God, an awesome ruler and a gentle redeemer, the fact of the matter is there is none like You and we worship You for loving us the way You always do, no matter what. Hallelujah!!! What a mighty God we serve! God, this morning we're praying for Cora Carter, Mac Hawkins and Clarence Becton, asking for Your healing touch. We praise You Lord because they know You as their healer and they know there is nothing too hard for You to do. We thank You Lord in advance for a mighty move from You in their lives, and for granting them peace so they will know You're with them always. God, so many are sick, struggling, weary, troubled and suffering; But we thank You Lord because You know all about every issue and You can speak and things must change. We place our lives in Your hands and we're trusting You to speak to our situations, give us the courage to exercise our "right now faith" and praise You in advance for the victory. This day is good enough for us to rejoice and be glad throughout the day, knowing our God is a great King we're expecting GREAT to show up in all things, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Our Father in heaven, God we thank You for another beautiful day that You have made just for us. We thank You Lord for the rain. Some feel inconvenienced by the rain, some are complaining about the rain, but Lord we're not going to complain, we're not going to fuss about it, we're not going to call it "crazy weather", but instead we will rejoice and be glad in this day because we're thankful to still be here and for another chance to say yes to Your will. We're praying one for another, asking You to heal bodies that are touched with cold and flu, disease, cancer, arthritis, and all other sickness. God give strength to the weak, patience to the weary and help us to believe our "due season" is on the way. Help us to know there is nothing too small for You to care about and nothing too big for You to work out for our good. God, this morning we're praying specifically for Mike Miller, thanking You because he knows You as his Savior. We thank You Lord that we don't have to ask You to be with him as he goes in to surgery because You promised to never leave him. We thank You Lord that we don't have to ask You to go to the operating room, because You're already there. Father, we're asking that You grant him peace knowing You will guide the surgeon's hand and give him the courage to thank You in advance for the victory. We pray also for Dr. Arvis Donaldson, Dr. Mae Anderson and family. Please remember Barbara Thornton, Marty and family as they go through the challenges of the transition of their loved one. God, we praise You because we're safe in Your arms all the time, no matter what. Help us today to remember how You've always taken good care of us and because of Your perfect record in our lives, we believe today will be no different--You will take care of us; So we purpose in our hearts right now to rejoice and be glad in this day, and believe the victory belongs to us, we give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Father in heaven, today I give You all that I am. I invite You into the weak places in my life so that You can turn them into strengths. Thank You for working in my life and filling me with faith and expectancy. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Today I am inspired by the moment. This moment. This right now. I notice that when I am upset it is often due to some past moment not going the way I wanted it to go. The way my ego's script had designed. But when I am present to right now, I notice how God is working in my life. I see how He blessed me with not allowing me to have such and such moment in the past. I see how He blessed me to experience such and such in the past and because of that moment I have such and such in the present. When I let go I can see that God knows the whole picture and what it should look like and that this moment, this right now is just a beautiful piece of the puzzle and without this moment, it may be incomplete.
Let's embrace the moment. Let's live from where we are right now. We know what needs cleaning up, let's do it. We know the ideas that God has put on our hearts, if it is His will for right now, let's act on them. Now.
Happy Friday everyone, I encourage you to be your bests selves today.
Acknowledge God.
When we are true to ourselves we understand that we did not create ourselves, we do not sustain ourselves, and we are not in control of ourselves. There is a greater force in this world. A creating, sustaining, maintaining force put everything in order and keeps it that way. The force we know is God. When we think about God and acknowledge him for ourselves we want to get to know about him and maybe get to know him.

Seek God.
Then we seek not just to know the existence of God, but we seek to know him personally. We seek to have a personal relationship with God. And as our relationship grows we begin to submit ourselves to him. We submit or will and our ways to be led by God and his will and ways become our will and ways. The more we seek him the more we get to know him. The more we know him the more we are in awe of his great and wonderful power.

Meditate on God.
As our relationship grows and we begin to think of what he has done, is doing and will do; even for us. As we meditate on his works and his word. As we meditate on his promises and his faithfulness and we go to a deeper level a deeper relationship emerges and we want to talk to him.

Pray to God.
We talk to God. We tell him about our problems. We talk to God. We yield our lives to him. We talk to God. We begin to trust him. We talk to God. We begin to know him as a personal redeemer. We talk to God. He saves us. We talk to God. Knowing all he has done. We talk to God. Knowing all he is doing. We talk to God. Knowing what he will do. And in our mind we reconcile that it is he who created us. In our mind we acknowledge it is God that gives us this air we breathe.

We Thank God.
With an attitude of gratitude we talk to God thanking him for all that he does for. We thank God for this day. We thank God your yesterday. We thank God for life, health and strength. We thank God for loving us. We thank God for forgiving us. We thank God for his mercy and his grace. As we think things over and figure things out we realize that it was God. And we thank Him.

We Praise God.
When we talk to God and we move from figuring it out that it was he who deserves the honor. Our soul (our feelings) moves in and takes over. Here we move into praise. For to praise him is to honor him. To praise him is to glorify him to praise God is to give God what he is due from our soul. Not just from our mouths. Not just from our head. This praise comes from a feeling that won't allow the rocks to cry out for us. Yes we know God in our minds and we know him even through our flesh. But praise comes from the soul. As we continue to grow deeper, even in the moment prayer goes to praise through thanksgiving. Praise goes to worship through thanksgiving.

Worship God.
Form our mind and flesh we thank God because we know and acknowledge him.
From our soul and feelings we thank God because we feel him.
From our heart we worship God because our spirit is one with him.
Our spirit moves into the presence with the Holy Spirit. In His presence We thank Him through worship. Beyond your mind, your flesh and your feelings is the spirit. Your spirit is in the spirit. For you are in God and God is in you. This place is reached by thanksgiving. This place is called Worship.

Thanksgiving with a yielded heart moves us from prayer to praise and into worship. For God is. He does not change. He is waiting on us to move into a relationship with him based on our prayer, praise and worship fueled by thanksgiving. Give thanks to God. Praise him for the things he has done. Let the spirit of thanksgiving move and transform you as you worship him. Worship the Lord.

Scripture of the Day May 22, 2007 " Be Kind to One Another
Dear Brethren",
Our Scripture of the Day is Ephesians 4:32: Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Todays one-another verse is at the end of a great section containing several very significant verses all framed within the put off, put on theme of Ephesians 4. Since I am going to share soon another verse devoted almost exclusively to forgiveness, I will share a few words on the kindness part of our verse for today.
Our world is harsh. Yes there is much attention given to diversity and mutual acceptance, but so much of that is couched within a political agenda and not a moral one, and a lot of it is communicated with little kindness.
I cant help but think that if we really concentrated on being kind to one another, and being tenderhearted that a great deal of our stresses and conflicts would dissolve in the church, in marriages, at workplaces. Ours is a world where simple kindness is fast becoming a lost virtue.
Kindness and tenderheartedness are related, the second offering insight especially into the first. To be kind is to have a tender heart and spirit toward the other, and to put that tenderness into words and action.
Most of us are not what we portray. We are hurting in some way. There is pain in the eyes of most people I see. Behind every smile there is a touch of sadness. Yes, in our life together, there is a time for exhortation and rebuke, but how much more that can be received if kindness is the norm.
Kindness is so practical. It has to do with the tone of our speech, the language of our bodies, the words we choose, and the effort we take to notice others. And it also has to do with acts usually simple acts not related to special events and culture driven expectations but just with the need of the other for gentleness, kindness, and tenderheartedness.
We all need kindness, and may be expectant of receiving it. We get upset when people dont seem kind to us. But if we each focus on being kind to the other then there would be plenty of kindness to go around.
Almost all of us are less secure, less confident, and more needy of encouragement and simple acts of love than we let on. We need less to be other peoples projects then we need to receive other peoples kindness.
Kindness replaces malice, anger, gossip, and unforgiveness. Yes, there can be no kindness where forgiveness is lacking. But that is for another day.
You know, as an observer of human behavior, as a pastor and counselor, and as a person in my own right, I have come to see how simple kindness goes a long way. But to be kind we have to stop; we have to notice; we have to greet, we often need to think ahead. We need room in the busyness of our lives to slow down. It is very hard to be kind on the run. Do you have time in your life to be kind?
Kindness gives other people the benefit of the doubt. It cuts others a little slack. It is very hard to be judgmental and kind at the same time. We all like to know that we are appreciated, that we are missed when we are away, that we are noticed, that we matter. Kindness does all those things.
I want my children to work hard and be succe3ssful at whatever they do. But more than anything I like hearing of one of my children that they have been kind. I really dont care so much whether or not they are great scholars, athletes, beauty queens, or business women. I mean, all of that is fine. But it all pales into utter nothingness compared to simple kindness.
And the same goes for me. Yeah, it would have been cool to be a great athlete, to have been a great scholar, to be a great preacher, or a super entrepreneur. But if at the end of my long road of life someone were to see fit to write on my tombstone ,He was kind (assuming my Christian faith of course) then I will have succeeded in this walk of life. I want to be more that way. I hope you do too.
Lord, it's another days journey and we're glad about it! We thank You Lord for Yourloving kindnessandtender mercy, for we recognize if it had not been for You on our side, there is no way we would have made it this far. We praise You for all that You have done for us, for every mountain You gave us the strength to climb and for every valley You gave us the courage to go through. We worship You God because You are the Great I Am, everything we need, when we need it, all the time. Lord, we ask that You will help us to stay focused today, give us the strength to not be distracted by small things that won't matter at the end of this day. Help us to keep pressing our way forward and give our all to glorify You in all that we do and say. Give strength to the weak, heal the sick, and deliver those who are in bondage to negative thinking and speaking. Help us to remember we are beautifully and wonderfully made--Your works are marvelous! We are Designer's Originals and no one can beat us being who You created us to be. We are extraordinary and we expect great things today because Greater is He Who lives in us! We give You praise, in Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

Praise Your Name Lord Jesus! You're our Rock! You're our Fortress! You're our Redeemer! In You Lord do we put our trust. We praise You Lord because from the rising of the sun until the going down of the same, Your Name is to be praised! We praise You Lord because Your Name is excellent and there is none like You! We thank You Lord for blessing us to see another day and for extending Your mercy and grace, giving us the privilege to have another chance to say yes to Your will. We ask that You will forgive us for being disobedient to You. Forgive us for being determined to do things our way. Forgive us for not trusting You as we should. Forgive us for doubting that You would continue to take good care of us, just as You have done all the days of our lives. It's a good day today and we purpose in our hearts right now to not waste any time with meaningless conversations, we don't want to waste any time trying to figure out our way, but instead our desire is to listen for Your voice and follow Your way. There will most likely be some things about today that we don't understand, but we will trust You with all our heart and lean not to our own understanding; We will talk to You about everything and believe You will direct our path. Thank You Lord for ordering our steps and leading us through danger seen and unseen and leading us to victory, we give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Our Father, we thank You for blessing us to see another beautiful day. We thank You for keeping us day by day, protecting us from hurt, harm and danger and for always loving on us. God, it feels so good to be loved by the only true and living God. It feels good to know You are our Savior, our Lord, our Master, our King and You are the only constant we have. You constantly take good care of us. You constantly supply our needs. You constantly forgive us and grant us another chance to say yes to Your will. Lord, we praise You because You are the God that changes not, but it always feels like You love us more everyday. God, we're lifting each family of each person who reads this prayer, asking that You will intervene where there may be confusion, grant peace where there is trouble and give courage/strength to the ones who feel like giving up. God, we know the enemy hates the family unit and tries everything possible to break it up, give us the strength to let brotherly love continue and the courage to allow you to fight our battles. It's a good day today and we purpose in our hearts right now to rejoice and be glad in it, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Our Father, we thank You for the blessing and privilege to still be here to offer praise to Your Name. We're still here to see the bright sunshine. We're still here to hear the birds sing and feel the warmth of our loved ones hugs. We're still here and You have blessed us with another chance to draw closer to You. Another chance to show love one to another. Another chance to be all that You created us to be. Another chance to let the light You've placed within us shine. This morning we specifically lift Mac Hawkins to You, asking that You keep his mind in perfect peace as he prepares to go in to surgery this morning. God, cancer is frightening to us, but we praise You because it's in the "nothing too hard for You" category. Father, guide the surgeon's hands and give him the wisdom to proceed cautiously, but confidently because You're the One leading and guiding. Lord, give strength to his wife Zelma, children, other family members and friends, help them rest on Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake them; Lord we also lift Apostle Rebecca Washington-Berry unto you, asking that you would touch her body and rebuke everything sickness that is attacking her body and we ask this in Jesus Name. t's a good day to give thanks unto You, so we praise You in advance for a great day filled with victory after victory, in Jesus Name, Amen.
A mouse looked through a crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife opening a package; what food might it contain?
He was aghast to discover that it was a mouse trap!
Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning, “There is a mouse trap in the house, there is a mouse trap in the house.”
The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, “Mr. Mouse, I can tell you this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me; I cannot be bothered by it.”
The mouse turned to the pig and told him, “There is a mouse trap in the house.”
“I am so very sorry Mr. Mouse,” sympathized the pig, “but there is nothing I can do about it but pray; be assured that you are in my prayers.”
The mouse turned to the cow, who replied, “Like wow, Mr. Mouse, a mouse trap; am I in grave danger, Duh?”
So the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected to face the farmer’s mouse trap alone.
That very night a sound was heard throughout the house, like the sound of a mouse trap catching its prey. The farmer’s wife rushed to see what was caught.
In the darkness, she did not see that it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.
The snake bit the farmer’s wife.
The farmer rushed her to the hospital.
She returned home with a fever. Now everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup’s main ingredient.
His wife’s sickness continued so that friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.
The farmer’s wife did not get well, in fact, she died, and so many people came for her funeral the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide meat for all of them to eat.
So the next time you hear that someone is facing a problem and think that it does not concern you, remember that when the least of us is threatened, we are all at risk.
Heb 13:16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

God, help us today to be aware of our surroundings, help us to see sadness and give a smile. Help us to see confusion and offer peace. Help us to see Your hand moving and say, "yes Lord!" Too often we get too busy and we don't take the time to look around and see where we can be a blessing, so we purpose in our hearts right now to slow down long enough to be a blessing to someone else. We pray one for another, asking You to build us up where we're losing strength, give courage to those who are fearful and draw us all closer to You. We are continuing to lift Mac and Madeline to You, asking that You will give them the strength to hold on to Your unchanging hand and the courage to trust You through it all. We pray also for Apostle R. Berry and family, Erica Henderson and family, Dr, M. Anderson and family, Dr. A. Donaldson and family, Greg Robinson and family, and all whose eyes shall read and pray this prayer, and finally, Lord, please remember Claudetta and Mother as they are away from home. Thank You for being the only constant we have. We thank You Lord because we know You are the source of our strength and it is in You that we live, we move and have our being. We are who we are because of You and we praise You because we are beautifully and wonderfully made, marvelous are Your works! God, we praise You because we know it is not "I" but the Christ that lives on the inside of us that makes You smile on us every day of our lives, thank You! We thank You God for this day that You have made, help us Lord to pay attention to the details of this perfect day and not complain about anything, but instead take the time to look around and see Your amazing love to us. Whether you realize it or not, God has already given you everything you need to live the life He’s called you to. You don’t need to feel stressed out, worried or afraid. You don’t have to wonder if you’re “good enough” to receive from God because God’s blessing has nothing to do with your performance. He has already blessed you and given you everything you need by His divine power!
The world’s system tells us to strive, toil and scrape to get what we want. Our culture puts limits on people because of their natural abilities, resources, background or circumstances. But with God, there are no limits! By His divine power, you are equipped, well able and strong. You are covered by His grace and mercy, and you are empowered to do all He has called you to do!
The next time you start thinking “I can’t...” or “I don’t have what it takes...,” attack those negative thoughts with the truth by declaring, “I have what it takes; I am well able; and I am equipped by His divine power at work in me!”
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, thank You for Your power which is at work in me. Thank You for equipping me and calling me according to Your good purpose. Give me Your strength and peace today. I keep my mind stayed on You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Our Father, we thank and praise You for another day of living. We thank You for continuing to watch over us, protect us, correct us, comfort us, keep us and most importantly, love us. We thank You Father for placing Your Spirit within us to lead, guide and direct our paths. Help us to remember You gave us what we need to succeed and it's up to us to use what You've given us for Your glory. We worry, stress and take matters in to our own hands because we either don't trust the Spirit of God in us or we forget the blood of Jesus is covering us and absolutely nothing is greater than the blood of Jesus! Help us this day to remember Who our Protective Coating is and give us the courage to move forward being all that You created us to be, living out our purpose believing we can do all things through Christ, our Protective Coating, Who continues to give us the strength to endure. We are more than conquerors in all of the potential distractions this day holds, we give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.
I have been waking up lately setting an intention or a declared way of being for the day. I create this intention as creation, not from how I felt last night or what I want to accomplish, but from nothing. Today I created happiness as a way of being for the day. Not just happiness for myself but happiness every place I am today.
And so what does that look like? Does it mean that everywhere I go today will look like a scene from High School Musical where folks spontaneously break into song and dance? No. The happiness I am creating for today is happiness as a point of view. There are always a million and one ways to look at something. My declaration is that today I will look through happy glasses.
Sounds corny? Hopefully. I have been through a lot in my life and today I am affording myself a little...corn.

God we thank You for this day! We declare this is the day that the Lord has made, we WILL rejoice and be glad in it! God we praise You because You will let nothing separate us from Your love, so today we declare, it's all good! We give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.

God is working everything out for my highest good. In fact, it's already worked out. My job is to breath and know that all of my concerns are in the most capable and loving hands. ARTICLE: HOW TO GIVE THANKS IN PRAYER AND PRAISE

Acknowledge God. When we are true to ourselves we understand that we did not create ourselves, we do not sustain ourselves, and we are not in control of ourselves. There is a greater force in this world. A creating, sustaining, maintaining force put everything in order and keeps it that way. The force we know is God. When we think about God and acknowledge him for ourselves we want to get to know about him and maybe get to know him.
Seek God. Then we seek not just to know the existence of God, but we seek to know him personally. We seek to have a personal relationship with God. And as our relationship grows we begin to submit ourselves to him. We submit or will and our ways to be led by God and his will and ways become our will and ways. The more we seek him the more we get to know him. The more we know him the more we are in awe of his great and wonderful power.
Meditate on God. As our relationship grows and we begin to think of what he has done, is doing and will do; even for us. As we meditate on his works and his word. As we meditate on his promises and his faithfulness and we go to a deeper level a deeper relationship emerges and we want to talk to him.
Pray to God. We talk to God. We tell him about our problems. We talk to God. We yield our lives to him. We talk to God. We begin to trust him. We talk to God. We begin to know him as a personal redeemer. We talk to God. He saves us. We talk to God. Knowing all he has done. We talk to God. Knowing all he is doing. We talk to God. Knowing what he will do. And in our mind we reconcile that it is he who created us. In our mind we acknowledge it is God that gives us this air we breathe.
We Thank God. With an attitude of gratitude we talk to God thanking him for all that he does for. We thank God for this day. We thank God your yesterday. We thank God for life, health and strength. We thank God for loving us. We thank God for forgiving us. We thank God for his mercy and his grace. As we think things over and figure things out we realize that it was God. And we thank Him.
We Praise God. When we talk to God and we move from figuring it out that it was he who deserves the honor. Our soul (our feelings) moves in and takes over. Here we move into praise. For to praise him is to honor him. To praise him is to glorify him to praise God is to give God what he is due from our soul. Not just from our mouths. Not just from our head. This praise comes from a feeling that won't allow the rocks to cry out for us. Yes we know God in our minds and we know him even through our flesh. But praise comes from the soul. As we continue to grow deeper, even in the moment prayer goes to praise through thanksgiving. Praise goes to worship through thanksgiving.
Worship God. Form our mind and flesh we thank God because we know and acknowledge him.
From our soul and feelings we thank God because we feel him.
From our heart we worship God because our spirit is one with him.
Our spirit moves into the presence with the Holy Spirit. In His presence We thank Him through worship. Beyond your mind, your flesh and your feelings is the spirit. Your spirit is in the spirit. For you are in God and God is in you. This place is reached by thanksgiving. This place is called Worship.
Thanksgiving with a yielded heart moves us from prayer to praise and into worship. For God is. He does not change. He is waiting on us to move into a relationship with him based on our prayer, praise and worship fueled by thanksgiving. Give thanks to God. Praise him for the things he has done. Let the spirit of thanksgiving move and transform you as you worship him. Worship the Lord.

Scripture of the Day May 22, 2007 " Be Kind to One Another
Dear Brethren",
Our Scripture of the Day is Ephesians 4:32:
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Todays one-another verse is at the end of a great section containing several very significant verses all framed within the put off, put on theme of Ephesians 4. Since I am going to share soon another verse devoted almost exclusively to forgiveness, I will share a few words on the kindness part of our verse for today.
Our world is harsh. Yes there is much attention given to diversity and mutual acceptance, but so much of that is couched within a political agenda and not a moral one, and a lot of it is communicated with little kindness.
I cant help but think that if we really concentrated on being kind to one another, and being tenderhearted that a great deal of our stresses and conflicts would dissolve in the church, in marriages, at workplaces. Ours is a world where simple kindness is fast becoming a lost virtue.
Kindness and tenderheartedness are related, the second offering insight especially into the first. To be kind is to have a tender heart and spirit toward the other, and to put that tenderness into words and action.
Most of us are not what we portray. We are hurting in some way. There is pain in the eyes of most people I see. Behind every smile there is a touch of sadness. Yes, in our life together, there is a time for exhortation and rebuke, but how much more that can be received if kindness is the norm.
Kindness is so practical. It has to do with the tone of our speech, the language of our bodies, the words we choose, and the effort we take to notice others. And it also has to do with acts usually simple acts not related to special events and culture driven expectations but just with the need of the other for gentleness, kindness, and tenderheartedness.
We all need kindness, and may be expectant of receiving it. We get upset when people dont seem kind to us. But if we each focus on being kind to the other then there would be plenty of kindness to go around.
Almost all of us are less secure, less confident, and more needy of encouragement and simple acts of love than we let on. We need less to be other peoples projects then we need to receive other peoples kindness.
Kindness replaces malice, anger, gossip, and unforgiveness. Yes, there can be no kindness where forgiveness is lacking. But that is for another day.
You know, as an observer of human behavior, as a pastor and counselor, and as a person in my own right, I have come to see how simple kindness goes a long way. But to be kind we have to stop; we have to notice; we have to greet, we often need to think ahead. We need room in the busyness of our lives to slow down. It is very hard to be kind on the run. Do you have time in your life to be kind?
Kindness gives other people the benefit of the doubt. It cuts others a little slack. It is very hard to be judgmental and kind at the same time.
We all like to know that we are appreciated, that we are missed when we are away, that we are noticed, that we matter. Kindness does all those things.
I want my children to work hard and be succe3ssful at whatever they do. But more than anything I like hearing of one of my children that they have been kind. I really dont care so much whether or not they are great scholars, athletes, beauty queens, or business women. I mean, all of that is fine. But it all pales into utter nothingness compared to simple kindness.
And the same goes for me. Yeah, it would have been cool to be a great athlete, to have been a great scholar, to be a great preacher, or a super entrepreneur. But if at the end of my long road of life someone were to see fit to write on my tombstone ,He was kind (assuming my Christian faith of course) then I will have succeeded in this walk of life. I want to be more that way. I hope you do too.

FRIDAY MORNING PRAYER:
He was aghast to discover that it was a mouse trap!
Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning, “There is a mouse trap in the house, there is a mouse trap in the house.”
The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, “Mr. Mouse, I can tell you this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me; I cannot be bothered by it.”
The mouse turned to the pig and told him, “There is a mouse trap in the house.”
“I am so very sorry Mr. Mouse,” sympathized the pig, “but there is nothing I can do about it but pray; be assured that you are in my prayers.”
The mouse turned to the cow, who replied, “Like wow, Mr. Mouse, a mouse trap; am I in grave danger, Duh?”
So the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected to face the farmer’s mouse trap alone.
That very night a sound was heard throughout the house, like the sound of a mouse trap catching its prey. The farmer’s wife rushed to see what was caught.
In the darkness, she did not see that it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.
The snake bit the farmer’s wife.
The farmer rushed her to the hospital.
She returned home with a fever. Now everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup’s main ingredient.
His wife’s sickness continued so that friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.
The farmer’s wife did not get well, in fact, she died, and so many people came for her funeral the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide meat for all of them to eat.
So the next time you hear that someone is facing a problem and think that it does not concern you, remember that when the least of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Whether you realize it or not, God has already given you everything you need to live the life He’s called you to. You don’t need to feel stressed out, worried or afraid. You don’t have to wonder if you’re “good enough” to receive from God because God’s blessing has nothing to do with your performance. He has already blessed you and given you everything you need by His divine power!
The world’s system tells us to strive, toil and scrape to get what we want. Our culture puts limits on people because of their natural abilities, resources, background or circumstances. But with God, there are no limits! By His divine power, you are equipped, well able and strong. You are covered by His grace and mercy, and you are empowered to do all He has called you to do!
The next time you start thinking “I can’t...” or “I don’t have what it takes...,” attack those negative thoughts with the truth by declaring, “I have what it takes; I am well able; and I am equipped by His divine power at work in me!”

And so what does that look like? Does it mean that everywhere I go today will look like a scene from High School Musical where folks spontaneously break into song and dance? No. The happiness I am creating for today is happiness as a point of view. There are always a million and one ways to look at something. My declaration is that today I will look through happy glasses.
Sounds corny? Hopefully. I have been through a lot in my life and today I am affording myself a little...corn.

Lord, we thank You for blessing us to see another beautiful day. Today may be hot, it may be cold, it may be raining, it may even storm, but help us to not complain about the weather, but instead praise You in the midst of it all. Lord, You are good, You are kind, You are merciful, You are faithful, You are loving, You are compassionate and with everything that You are, You love us! So, we have nothing to complain about, but all the reason to worship and praise You; We have all the reasons to be obedient to You--showing love one to another and being who You created us to be. Father, we lift Oliver Thompson and his family to You as they deal with the passing of their mother, Delphane Thompson. God grant them peace and build a hedge of love all around them. Lord, we're praying that each family member will draw closer to You, so they will trust You and know You do all things well; also remember Bro. Joe Jones and family, Dr. A. Donaldson and family and Mother Hadrick and family It's a great day today and we expect the great because the Great One lives inside of us and You make all things GREAT! We give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Good morning Lord! It's a great day today and we thank You because it's good to give thanks unto the Most High God! Lord, we messed up yesterday, we said some things we shouldn't have said, we did some things You told us not to do and we complained too much about the weather, so we ask Your forgiveness and we pray that You will help us to be better today. When we start to complain about anything, remind us to take a look around and see things could be worse. Help us to remember the many days You've kept us, the many times You've delivered us, and the number of years, months, days, hours, minutes, seconds You've been right here with us and instead of complaining, give us a praise that has to come out. Help us to say, thank You Lord! Give us the strength to shout out, hallelujah anyhow!!! Things may not be the way we want them right now, but we thank You because we're in Your hands and You always find a way to work all things together for our good. We thank You Lord for this beautiful day and we will rejoice and be glad in it, in Jesus Name, Amen.
