Your past does not define you, God did when He created you! We pray you're inspired by this direct quote from the book, "Me Inside Out" . . .
Jesus asked the disciples a very important question, "Who do men say that I am?" (Mark 8:27) And, the disciples gave the answers they heard other people say about Jesus. Then Jesus asked the most important question, "But, who do you say that I am?" This question Jesus continues to ask today, "Who do you say that I am?" It is a personal question, one that can only be answered by you. The second most important question you must answer is, "Who do you say that you are?" Because who you say you are, is what you will display to all, and consequently, what you display is what others will believe about you.
Each day of your life, through your actions, you are speaking who you are; and people will form an opinion of who you are, based on what you speak to them; and they will treat you according to how you speak to be treated. If your actions speak, "I love myself", "I respect myself", then you will attract love and respect. But, if your actions speak, "I am wounded, used and abused", then you will attract those who will use and abuse you. Get the picture?
Going to Church is great, but reality is Churches are filled with people who have read the Bible, they know the Word of God, they say they believe the Word of God, but yet they have allowed what happened in their past to overshadow the Word of God. Consequently, their past experiences have become the authority by which all decisions are made, making God's promises null and void in their lives. Listen, you cannot allow your past experiences to be greater than the promises of God.
Who do you say that you are? Your actions speak louder than words.
Lord, we praise You because we know it is in You that we live, we move and have our being. You breathed the breath of life in to us and because You are the Great I Am, that makes us great! We are who You say we are and we will live this day in greatness because the Great One lives inside of us! We expect the GREAT, in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Lord, we praise You for another day of life. We thank You for this day that You have made and we choose to rejoice and be glad in it. We're not going to wait until things get better to rejoice, we're going to rejoice right now. We're not going to wait until we get that job, we're going to rejoice right now. We're not going to wait until the sickness leaves, we're going to rejoice right now. We're rejoicing today, right now because You made this day and because You made it there is nothing about this day that will take You by surprise, nor is there anything about this day that You cannot handle. We're rejoicing today, right now because You reign forever and we believe with all power You're working all things together for our good. This morning we're praying for Della Ford and Barbara Washington as they prepare to visit the operating room. God, we thank You in advance that they are thinking good thoughts, they're trusting You, they know You're with them and You have given them the peace that surpasses all understanding. We thank You Lord in advance for their healing and speedy recovery. Father, bless each eye that reads this prayer, help us to lean and depend on You more, because we believe the more we lean and depend on You, the weaker we are, but the stronger we become. We thank You Lord because Your grace is sufficient, Your love is unchanging and Your mercy endures forever! Lord, bless our children as they prepare to go back to school, build a hedge of protection all around them and guard their hearts and minds against the attack of the enemy. Bless the teachers and administrators that they will find joy in being a blessing to our children. We give thanks for this day filled with peace, love and victory, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Thank You Lord for all You've done for us! We thank You for Your love. We thank You for Your power. We thank You for Your protection. We thank You for Your healing. Our Father in heaven, Lord we thank You for life, health and strength. We thank You Lord for blessing us to see one more day. Lord, we love You, we praise You, we lift up Your holy and righteous Name, confessing You are the only true and living God and You deserve all the praise. Lord, we ask Your blessings on each one who reads this prayer, help us to see how precious life truly is and at no time should we take anything for granted. People are dying everywhere, the economy seems to be getting worse, families are fighting one another and some days the bad news seems to outweigh the good; But Lord we praise You because we recognize You're not shaken by any of these things, You still reign forever! Help us to not be distracted by all the things we see, for we walk by faith and not by sight and our faith says, there is victory in Jesus! So Lord, we're going all the way with You, expecting the great because we are The King's children. God, bless our children and keep them safe. Help us to see our children are watching and listening to us--our actions affect our children. Give us the strength to act like/talk like You're watching and listening to us today, for the truth is You're always with us everywhere we go. Yesterday my godson said, "the prayers are too long!" Our children want to pray, so here is a simple prayer for our children, we trust you will include them with the morning prayer:
Lord, thank You for waking us to see today. Thank You for taking care of me by giving me everything I need. Keep my family safe, help me to be good at school, use my listening ears and do all of my work. In Jesus Name, amen.

I was thinking today about how we as human beings rate what is important and what is not. What we will build and what we will tear down. What matters, what doesn't. The truth is, and by truth, I only mean my opinion, is that nothing matters until we bring matter to it.
Being a doctor or janitor or waitress or actor, writer, teacher, or preacher or wife or husband will not matter to you or possibly make a difference to those around you until you wake up to the awesome assignment God has gifted each of us with.
During the day I work as a home health aide. I work with elderly men and women who cannot do much for themselves as far as their personal care. I usually work twelve hours a day and sometimes I work overnight shifts. When I get home I am often very tired. When I am tired, when my paycheck does not seem enough, when I have to wake up early, sometimes I tell myself that this does not matter. But when I take time to listen to God who is always there, I am truly present to the matter.
It matters that men and women who have worked all of their lives and fed their children, get fed. It matters that they are clean, prayed for, talked to, made to laugh. It matters because I say. It matters because God says.
Today I am inspired to make it matter. I am moved to bring matter to everything God has for me to do. My smile matters when I am speaking to the store clerk. It matters that I drive the speed limit, that I am faithful and thankful for what God has so generously blessed me with. It matters what I put into this body God has given me. I am encouraged to encourage you to bring matter to your lives and remind those around you, that they matter.
God we thank You for this day. We thank You for the breath of life which makes us matter. Lord, it's because of You that we live, move and have our being, it's because of You that we matter. Thank You for smiling on us and making us matter, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Lord, You are good and Your mercy endures forever! We worship You for Who You are!!! You are good all the time, all the time You are good. We thank You Lord for another beautiful Monday morning. The weekend was great and we look forward to walking in victory all week long. God, we thank You for opening our understanding and allowing us to know You are the only true and living God. You are God all by Yourself, help us to remember You don't need us to help You be God because You are perfect in all Your ways, all by Yourself. This morning we lift Lois Gilmore and Linda Horn to You as they prepare to visit the operating room. We thank You Lord for calling them Your own and for blessing them to know You as their Lord and Savior. Lord, we can't begin to tell You how to move, we just ask that You will move mightily and bring them through victorious. Grant them peace and help them to relax knowing You are The Great Physician and You're already present for healing. We pray one for another, admitting we need You every second, every minute, every hour of the day. If things happen to get a little tough today, remind us of the fact that You're already present, so we might as well let You handle, not only the tough things, but all things. Help us to know, the quicker we give You all things, the quicker You will work them together for our good. Praise the Name of Jesus, we give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Our Father in heaven, we thank and praise You for blessing us with the privilege to be a part of this beautiful day that You have made. We thank You Lord for the brand new mercy, grace, favor and love that You included with this day. God, we thank You for hearing and answering our prayers. You have healed, You have delivered, You have forgiven, You have provided, You have been faithful all the days of our life--we thank You Lord. We pray one for another, asking You to help us to remember how faithful You have always been and because You're the same yesterday, today and forever, You will continue to be faithful today; So, there is no reason for us to worry, fuss or complain, because You have given us every reason to give thanks in everything. Give us the courage to speak positive words and dismiss negative thoughts. Help us to stay away from situations that have the potential of causing us to speak harmful words and place negative thoughts in to action. Give us the strength to concentrate on the beauty You have created around us and remember how Great Thou Are!! We give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.

O Lord, our God, how excellent is Thy Name in all the earth! It's another beautiful day that You have made and we're so thankful to still be here. We're still here to offer praise to You. We're still here to hug our loved ones. We're still here to offer a smile to a stranger we meet on the street. We're still here to forgive a wrong-doing. Lord, we thank You for blessing us with another chance to do better and be better than we were on yesterday. So often we take the days You bless us to see for granted, we forget to say thank You, we hold on to grudges, we speak negative words and we put things we can do today off to another day--forgive us Lord. Lord, help us to realize tomorrow may never come for us, so today is the day to rejoice and be glad in this beautiful day that You've made. Today is the day to do what we've been putting off. Today is the day to speak to that person we refuse to speak to. Today is the day to smile at the one who is rude to us. Today is the day to forgive and let it go. Today is the day to give glory to You in all that we say and do. Today is the day to let our light shine everywhere we go, we give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Lord, I thank You for watching over me as I slept last night and for waking me up this morning. I thank You for this pretty day that You have made. I pray that You will bless the food I eat today, bless the people I meet, help me to be nice to everyone and be obedient, in Jesus Name, Amen.
How great is our God! Thank You Lord for a good nights sleep and for waking us to a refreshing new day. Father, whether it's hot, cold, overcast, raining or storming, it's a beautiful day and we're glad to still be alive. We ask that You forgive us for complaining about the weather, for every day that You make is a good day. We pray for those who are sick and shut in, we pray for those who are locked away behind prison bars, we pray for those who are bereaved or sorrowful and just don't have the energy to come outside; We ask that You will draw them closer to You, and remind them of the fact that You promised to never leave them. Lord, we pray a special prayer for Latrice Clinton, asking that You will bless her with a healing touch from You. Bless her mother Ms. Clinton, strengthen her where she's weak and build her up where she's worn down. Bless each eye that reads this prayer, help us to choose to rejoice and be glad in this day. Help us to choose to trust You in all things. Help us to praise You in the middle of whatever our situations are, trusting You to come through for us, just like You did the last time. God thank You for always being our loving, kind, compassionate, forgiving, friend, for truly You are the only constant we have, thank You for being our faithful God. For waking us up this morning, for letting us see another brand new dawning, Lord we love You! We love You O Mighty King for first loving us, for giving us Your very best and You didn't stop there, You continue to give us Your best everyday in spite of our shortcomings, disobedience and failure to say, thank You. Lord, sometimes just saying, "Thank You" does not seem enough, but from the bottom of our hearts this morning, we thank You, we love You, we praise You, we worship You O loving, kind, compassionate, forgiving God. Lord, bless each one who reads this prayer with a praying, praising, worshiping spirit. Help us to rid our minds of all things that just don't matter. It matters not that they didn't speak to us. It matters not that things didn't work out the way we wanted them to. It matters not that we had a big disagreement yesterday, but what does matter is that You continue to look beyond our faults, our mess and our mishaps and You continue to supply our every need. Help us this day to not take matters in to our own hands, but instead leave all things in Your very capable hands. Give us the strength to let go of the things that we've been holding on to for so long, help us to see our grip on the things of the past is keeping us from experiencing all the new things You have for us. This morning we pray a special prayer for Cora Matthews and family, their hearts are saddened by the passing of their mother; Lord, help them to see You are the Great I Am and give them the courage to relax in Your peace. It's flu season and already many have been bitten by the flu bug, Lord send a healing touch to those who are sick and immunize those who are not from the attack of the bug. Give us the wisdom to take care of ourselves, eat right, take our vitamins, exercise and rest our bodies. Help us to exercise our minds with good thoughts, dismiss all negativity and remember to talk to You about everything all the time. This morning we're praying for Angela, asking You to give her the strength she needs as she faithfully stands by the bedside of her husband. God, touch her husband and draw him closer to You that he may experience the Great I Am. Lord, for those of us who are struggling right now, help us to know there is a reason and if we continue to trust You, obey Your voice and give praise to You in advance for the victory, we will soon find out our struggles come to make us strong. Our struggles come to draw us closer to You. Our struggles come to remind us who we are IN Christ Jesus. Lord, You are good and Your mercy endures forever! We worship You for Who You are and we thank You for being good all the time! Lord, as we slept last night, You kept our lungs functioning properly and You made sure our hearts continue to beat. Then this morning You caused us to hear an alarm clock, the sound of a loved one or a simple noise to let us know it was time to wake up--- Lord we thank You. God, we thank You for life, health and strength. We thank You for food, clothing and shelter. We thank You for family, friends and acquaintances. Lord, we have so much to be thankful for and although sometimes we complain, the truth is our good far outweighs the bad, so we thank and praise You right now for we know every good and perfect gift comes from You. Father, we don't know what today will bring, but there is one thing we know for sure and that is, You already know and You've already planned on what You know. Draw us closer to You and help us trust the fact that there is safety in Your arms; There is peace, love, contentment, rest, joy, protection, provision, healing, and deliverance---You have everything we need to be more than conquerors in every situation, thank You Lord. We glorify and magnify Your Name because You are good all the time and all the time You are good! Thank You Jesus! Please remember the Graham Family. We thank You Lord for this new day enveloped with Your goodness, kindness, mercy and grace. Thank You Lord for being our provider, our peace, our protection, our healer, our deliverer, our friend--Lord, You are everything we need You to be and we thank You for being the Great I Am. Father, if things happened to get tough for us today, help us to remember Who You are and who we are because of You. Help us to remember there is nothing too hard for You to do. Help us to remember nothing gets to us before passing through You first, which simply means we can handle it because You will not permit us to go through anything we can not bear. Increase our understanding so we will know in to each life some rain must fall because if we never had any rain, we would never grow. So while the rain is falling, give us the wisdom to seek the purpose of the rain and know You're our umbrella. It's a new day and we thank You for opening our eyes to see it. Lord we have so much to be thankful for, our health and strength, food and clothing, shelter and transportation, family and friends, peace and joy; We thank You Lord for all You've done for us! Thank You Lord for being our Rock, our Fortress, our Deliverer, our Healer, our Company Keeper, our Provider--We have discovered, everything we need You to be, The Great I Am steps in! We love You Lord! This is the day that You have made and we purpose in our hearts right now to let nothing cause us to forget You made this day. We will let nothing steal our joy. We will let nothing distract us from paying attention to Your voice. We will let nothing cause us to act unbecoming of Your child. We will let nothing keep us from rejoicing and being glad, no matter what. Give us the courage today to do something nice to someone, say something encouraging to someone who is struggling and share our God-given smile with everyone we meet, we give You praise in Jesus Name, Amen.

I asked God to take away my habit. God said, No. It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up. I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. God said, No. His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary
I asked God to grant me patience. God said, No. Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is learned.
I asked God to give me happiness. God said, No. I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.
asked God to spare me pain. God said, No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me. I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said, No. You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

Our Father in heaven, we praise You for being omniscience-You're all knowing! You know exactly what we need, all the time. Lord, sometimes we think we know what's best for us, but we praise You because You always KNOW what's best for us and You always give us what we need. Through the good times, bad times, happy and sad times, You always keep Your Word and You always work all things together for our good. So, we offer praise to You for allowing us to talk to You about everything and then we can trust You to make our everything alright, thank You Jesus! There are probably some things we could complain about, but complaining would mean we don't completely trust You; So instead of complaining today we will take the time out to count our many blessings and remember to say, "Thank You!" Bless each one who reads this prayer, give us the strength to press through our perception of reality and trust Your promise to work all things together for our good. SHUT UP! Stop having pity parties and talking about your business all the time; don't you know that the power of death and life is in the tongue! Stop speaking negative things into existence in your life and in others.
QUIT TRIPPIN'! When you look at your situations through your eyes, you often read more into the situation than what is there. It's not as bad as you think particularly if God is in your life; Stop over analyzing your life.
Be courageous 2 Timothy 1:7 - 'For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of Love, and of a sound mind."
Fear is not of God. Have the courage to step out on faith and do the seemingly impossible. Start your own business; go into the ministry; apply for that promotion; anything that you've been afraid to do and you know that God has called you to do - JUST DO IT!
Have confidence Philippians 4:13 - 'I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.'
Remember, greater is He that's within you than he that's in the world. You have the power of the most High God working in you, and you have His Son steadily making intercession for you. You have nothing to worry about! Walk with your head up! You say you have low self-esteem; somebody told you that you'd never amount to anything; the devil is a liar! Know that you are somebody because you are a child of The King!
Walk in the VICTORY ! Romans 8:28 - 'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.'
Does anything else need to be said? The jury has been out and the verdict is in - YOU WIN!
In your finances - YOU WIN! On your job - YOU WIN! In your relationships (married, single, divorced, family, friends) -YOU WIN!! In your health - YOU WIN!
God has already worked it out for you. It may not come the way you think it should come (or when you think it should), but remember - CALM DOWN, SHUT UP, AND QUIT TRIPPIN '! He's working it out for 'YOUR' good (in His time).
Do not ask the Lord to guide your footsteps, if you are not willing to move your feet.
O Mighty God, You are the source of our strength. You are the strength of our life. You are great and greatly to be praised, so we lift our hands in total praise to You! Lord, we thank You for this day that You have already made great. We thank You for giving us a will, a conscious, and a mind; Help us Lord to surrender to Your will, listen to the still small voice and line up our thinking process to the Word of God. Lord, You're with us every second, every minute, every hour of the day --You're always available to us, ready, willing and able to aid us in our daily walk; Help us to know Your way is always the best way and give us the courage to trust You to lead, guide and direct our path. Father, You made us intelligent beings, open our understanding so we will know, attempting to live this day without Your guidance is a bad choice. Attempting to speak without taking the time to season our speech with grace is a bad choice. Before we do or say anything today, remind us to take the time to remember our Help is already with us and give us the courage to lean and depend on our Help. We ask for strength and grace for the Hadrick family as they face the passing of their Mother, bless the Jackson's, Mother and all of us who stand in the need of prayer, especially Sharon and Claudetta.

FRIDAY INSPIRATION:
Being a doctor or janitor or waitress or actor, writer, teacher, or preacher or wife or husband will not matter to you or possibly make a difference to those around you until you wake up to the awesome assignment God has gifted each of us with.
During the day I work as a home health aide. I work with elderly men and women who cannot do much for themselves as far as their personal care. I usually work twelve hours a day and sometimes I work overnight shifts. When I get home I am often very tired. When I am tired, when my paycheck does not seem enough, when I have to wake up early, sometimes I tell myself that this does not matter. But when I take time to listen to God who is always there, I am truly present to the matter.
It matters that men and women who have worked all of their lives and fed their children, get fed. It matters that they are clean, prayed for, talked to, made to laugh. It matters because I say. It matters because God says.
Today I am inspired to make it matter. I am moved to bring matter to everything God has for me to do. My smile matters when I am speaking to the store clerk. It matters that I drive the speed limit, that I am faithful and thankful for what God has so generously blessed me with. It matters what I put into this body God has given me. I am encouraged to encourage you to bring matter to your lives and remind those around you, that they matter.
