- I have been working & serving as an artist for over 20 years. I am currently the Artist in Residence for the New Orleans African American Museum after returning to my beloved hometown in 2009. Prior I served a residency at Bennett College for Women. It has been my privliege over the last couple of decades to have had my work shown at a variety of museums, galleries & in a number of private/corporate collections including American Jazz Museum, Johnson Baby Products, Exxom Mobil, Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Maya Angelou & others.
My current thrust would be to participate both professionally & personally in the continuing empowering, exceptionally creative strides being made in the transformation of New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina - Family:
- I have 3 adult children ages 45,44 and 38 along with 11 grandchildren ranging from 25-15 months...
- Interests:
- Gardening,reading, music, walking, home decorating, writing,poetry among others. I've now reactivated artistically with a whole new switch called. "Seasoning" feature artists over the age of 60 in ever discipline.
