Biography:
After high school, I spend four years in the U.S. Air Force and the completed college at California State University, Los Angeles. I went to work for the Bell System for 20 years. I received my Master Degree in Human Resource Management & Development from Upsala University in New Jersey, and my Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University. I held executive positions in human resources development in several companies, including Sheraton Hotels, Ingram Micro, Inc., and AT&T Broadband. I have my own leadership development consulting firm and will be publishing my first book entitled, The Affirmation Principles, in October of this year (2012).
Family:
I am married to the former Theresa H. Johnson, a graduate of David Starr Jordan High School in Watts. We have two adult children and six grandchildren. We moved to Austin, Texas in 2006 and we love it here.
