- 1. Married Cheryl Elizabeth Underwood on 1 September 1962 in Ramstein, Germany (while in US Air Force).
2. Attended California State University, Long Beach – BSEE; Loyola Marymount University – MS in Engineering (major in small computer design, with minor in software language)
3. Employed by the United States Air Force, active & Reserve (41 yrs); Hughes Aircraft (12 yrs); and The Aerospace Corporation (29 yrs as Senior Project Engineer, Manager and Space Systems Engineer
4. Entered the Air Force in 1959 after graduating Centennial. I spent the 1st 18 years enlisted and as a cop serving in Alaska, Germany, Vietnam and 2 bases in California. I was honored as one of the 12 outstanding airman of the AF in 1976 at the rank of Master Sargent. A year later (Edwards AFB) I received a direct commission as a 2nd Lieutenant and in 2001 retired, after 41 years of service, as a Lieutenant Colonel (Development Engineer) from Los Angeles AFB). I currently serve, in a retired status, as a Los Area Liaison officer for the US Air Force Academy with responsibilities for 50 schools in the Los Angeles area. - Family:
- Children: Michael Anthony Chism and Kimberly Cheryl Chism-Watkins.
