- Biography:
- Born and raised in Southern California. Attended Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary,(Formerly Mona Park Elementary),Ralph J Bunche Jr High, and Centennial Sr High,graduating in 1975 . I started working in 1974 thru the Work Experience Program, while at school and after graduation I started full time and after a year, I became a store manager for a major shoe store retailer. After several years in the retail field,I attended Watts Skill Center and got Certified in Structural Steel Welding. After worrking in the welding/mechanical field a few years I started working at an Oil Refinery,(Maintenance then in Operations),after that, I moved on to work in a Chemical Plant, becoming a Deputy Weighmaster for State of Calif. I left that field and attended American Technical Insitiute in Orange County.and recieved a Certificate in Micro-Processor repair and diagnostics. After working for Ameritech Corp. for some time, My wife and I,wanting to do more for others decided to do a missionary work (referred to as " serving where the need is greater'' ) and we moved to Michigan in 1988.I again returned to retail to support our expenses,which lead to some time in building maintenance,working in a nursing home ( where I became a CNA), the construction field, and settled back in retail with Lowes Home Improvement. I was offered a Managemnet position and relocation and so we transfered to Texas in 1996 for Lowes Corp and after a few more years, I decided to enter the Banking field in 2005, first with Wachovia,Wells Fargo and for the last 2 years I have been a Vice President/Branch Manager with J P Morgan Chase Bank .
