Gordon, I know you didn't mean to say you are ashamed to call yourself an Apache Alumnus. I do accept your challenge though. I have sent smoke signals to two alumni with the article attached asking them to pass it on. I challenge all who read this comment to do the same or better, will find more Apaches who care. Thank you Gordon.

    Hello Gordon,

Maybe you did not read the e-mail message that was sent out today to all Alumni. In the e-mail Wayne Ware our "WebMaster" c/o '75 wrote telling everyone the real truth about the Centennial High School Football Team and about the situation. This is the second time that Centennial High's Football Coach Nolan have put out misinformation about the Football Team. The first time was in an L.A. Times Newspaper Article last year. We the (C.H.S.A.A.) Centennial High School Alumni Association are very upset that the Coach once again just like the first time last year did not tell the truth to the ABC 7 News Media about all the other Alumni, a Church in Compton and the Sports Organizations whom some continually have donated their time, their skills, their food, their money and "Brand New" equipment to the Football Team. This Coach continues to only portray as if he and another "Young White Person" are the only ones who have contributed to our Alma Mater Centennial High School and THAT IS A BOLD FACE LIE AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE, NOT AT ALL. (Gordon, and Anyone Else Reading This: Please take a moment and read the e-mail article in your inbox) that Wayne sent out to everyone and you will find out the truth. The Centennial High School Staff and the Alumni Association plan to once again call a Meeting to meet with Football Coach Nolan to see why he continues to put only half-truths and put misinformation out to the media. For all Alumni who are reading this message "JUST REMEMBER THAT YOU CAN'T ALWAYS BELIEVE EVERYTHING THAT YOU SEE ON TV AND THAT YOU MAY HEAR REGARDING CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL. I too as Gordon stated would  like to encourage all Alumni to give back to the School if they can; and we the (C.H.S.A.A.) Centennial High School Alumni Association would love to see more Alumni who can do so; to come out and support and participate in the (C.H.S.A.A.) Centennial High School Alumni Association and that way not only can you give back to your Alma Mater of your time but you will always know the truth about what the Alumi Organization is doing and have done; as well as what Alumni have  already done for the School ( over the past year and a half). GORDON, MAKE NO  MISTAKE "CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ARE DOING SO...... MUCH MORE THAN JUST GOING TO DANCES, PICNICS, AND REUNIONS AS YOU HAVE STATED. YOU SAY THAT YOU ARE ASHAMED OF OUR ALUMNI (BUT BECAUSE I PERSONALLY KNOW THE REAL TRUTH ABOUT THE SITUATION) I AM EXTREMELY "PROUD" OF ALL OF OUR CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI THAT HAVE STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE AND WHO HAVE GIVEN BACK TO OUR "ALMA MATER" CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL.

ONCE AGAIN: ALUMNI PLEASE READ THE LETTER BELOW AND PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE POSTING. THANK YOU!!

Have a Very Blessed Day & Weekend Apaches!!

    Sincerely,

Phoebe Macon Asst. Web Administrator c/o '75

I apologize I responded before I read all the facts. I don't apologize for my zeal for the Ten! It hurt to see what I saw on that video. I have walking problems now because of injuries I received playing football. Yet I don't regret it. It has made me aware that even though I am grateful for anyone who helps the students and athletes at Centennial , I need my butt kicked if I don't do more after getting knowing what I know now. In the words of a person who I favor, "If you don't know, Now you know."
