This Letter Is In Reference To The ABC Channel 7 Eyewitness News Report About The Centennial High School Apaches Football Team Which Aired On Monday 11/14/11!!
The Apache Alumni & The World Needs To Know That Our Alumni & Our Community Has Given Back.
Here’s A List Of Some Of The Contributions That I Personally Know Of For A Fact That Have Been Made And Given To The Centennial High School Apache Football Team That Was Not Mentioned In The ABC 7 Eyewitness News Report:
1. Dawn Estill c/o ‘78 Last Year Sent Brand New Football Cleats, Gloves & Socks From A Major Sports Corporation That She Works For (The Company Wishes That There Name Not Be Mentioned).
2. Another Alumni From The c/o ’78 (Who Wishes That Her Name Not Be Mentioned) This Year Sent 10+ Pairs Of Brand New Football Cleats From The Oakland Raiders To The Centennial High School Apache Football Team.
3. Faith Inspirational Church Of Compton Ca. Has Donated 33 “Tailor Made Blazers” For The Football Teams, Fed & Supplied Drinks To The Football Teams During Hell Week. They Painted Both Locker Rooms And Repaired , Cleaned Up & Opened The Concession Stand Twice & Donated All Of The Proceeds From The Food Sales To The Centennial High School Apache Football Team. Two Members From Faith Inspirational Church Have Been Helping To Coach The Football Team For The Last Year & A Half, Every Wednesday Members From The Church Tutor/s The Football Team, Mentor 42 Girls, and Conduct Bible Studies & Feed Them All Afterwards For Free. Also A Member From Faith Inspirational Church Conducts An Anger Management Class For The Young Men.
4. Delbert “Bay” Gordon c/o ’75 Of Magic Fingers “Eat em Up” Has Fed All Of The Football Teams, As Well As The Coaches 2 Or 3 Times Out Of The Year For The Last Couple Of Years. Delbert “Bay” Also Has Fed The Girls Basketball & Volleyball Teams.
Once Again I Would Like To Thank Coach Nolan, His Wife & The Young Football Player Thomas Stokes From Tesoro High School For Their Contributions, But I Feel That My Fellow Apache Alumni & The Community Also Should Be Recognized & Given A Big Thank You For Their Contributions As Well.
Sincerely, Wayne Ware c/o ’75 “WebMaster” Member Of The Centennial High School Alumni Association (C.H.S.A.A.) APACHE FOR LIFE!!
P.S. All Of The Contributors That I Have Mentioned Above And That I Know About Did Not Ask To Be Recognized In This Letter; But I Personally Wanted All Alumni And The World To Know Of, And Be Aware Of Their Contributions That They Have Unselfishly Given Over The Last Few Years To The Centennial High School Of Compton, California Apache Football Team And To The School In General Because Of Their Love For Our School.
For writing and telling everyone the real truth about the Centennial High School Football Team and about the situation. This is the second time that Centennial High's Football Coach Nolan have put out misinformation about the Football Team. The first time was in an L.A. Times Newspaper Article last year. We the (C.H.S.A.A.) Centennial High School Alumni Association are very upset that the Coach once again just like the first time last year did not tell the truth to the ABC 7 News Media about all the other Alumni, a Church in Compton and the Sports Organizations whom some continually have donated their time, their skills, their food, their money and "Brand New" equipment to the Football Team. This Coach continues to only portray as if he and another "Young White Person" are the only ones who have contributed to our Alma Mater Centennial High School and THAT IS A BOLD FACE LIE AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE, NOT AT ALL. (To All Reading This: It's Very Important That You Know The Truth). The Centennial High School Staff and the Alumni Association plan to once again call a Meeting to meet with Football Coach Nolan to see why he continues to put only half-truths and put misinformation out to the media. For all Alumni who are reading this message "JUST REMEMBER THAT YOU CAN'T ALWAYS BELIEVE EVERYTHING THAT YOU SEE ON TV AND THAT YOU MAY HEAR REGARDING CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL. I would like to encourage all Alumni to give back to the School if they can; and we the (C.H.S.A.A.) Centennial High School Alumni Association would love to see more Alumni who can do so; to come out and support and participate in the (C.H.S.A.A.) Centennial High School Alumni Association and that way not only can you give back to your Alma Mater of your time but you will always know the truth about what the Alumi Organization is doing and have done; as well as what Alumni have already done for the School ( over the past year and a half). I AM EXTREMELY "PROUD" OF ALL OF OUR CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI THAT HAVE STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE AND WHO ARE AND WHO HAVE GIVEN BACK TO OUR "ALMA MATER" CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL.
ONCE AGAIN ALUMNI: IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO, PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT AND READ THE LETTER ABOVE FROM WAYNE WARE "WEBMASTER" TO FIND OUT THE REAL TRUTH ABOUT THE CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL APACHE FOOTBALL TEAM. THANK YOU!!
Have a Very Blessed Day & Weekend Apaches!!
Sincerely,
