FRIDAY MORNING INSPIRATION
You Can’t Please Everyone
An old fable that has been passed down for generations tells about an elderly man who was traveling with a boy and a donkey. As they walked through a village, the man was leading the donkey and the boy was walking behind. The townspeople said the old man was a fool for not riding, so to please them he climbed up on the animal’s back. When they came to the next village, the people said the old man was cruel to let the child walk while he enjoyed the ride. So, to please them, he got off and set the boy on the animal’s back and continued on his way. In the third village, people accused the child of being lazy for making the old man walk, and the suggestion was made that they both ride. So the man climbed on and they set off again. In the fourth village, the townspeople were indignant at the cruelty to the donkey because he was made to carry two people. The frustrated man was last seen carrying the donkey down the road.
We smile, but this story makes a good point: We can’t please everybody, and if we try we end up carrying a heavy burden. Well-meaning Christians may offer us advice, and much of it is valuable. But when we try to do everything other believers want us to do, we can easily become frustrated and confused. That’s why we need to remember that the One we must please above all others is Christ. And we do that by obeying God’s Word.
Carried any donkeys lately? You don’t have to if you’re trying to please Jesus. Please remember the Thomas family as they mourn the passing of their Mother.

THURSDAY MORNING PRAYER
Hallelujah to the Lord Our God! We praise You Father because You reign forever! There is none like You and we worship You because of Who You are. We thank You Lord because You know everything there is to know about us, the good, the bad and the ugly, but still You continue to shower us with new mercy and cover us with Your unconditional love. Lord help us to place how much You love us at the forefront of our minds--when we're wronged, help us remember Your love. When we're hurt, help us remember Your love. When we're disappointed, help us remember Your love. In all things help us remember Your love to us and purpose in our hearts to let nothing smaller than Your love to us cause us to react to our circumstances and situations as if there is no hope. Help us to know Your love to us is amazing. You've always given us Your best and right now is not the time to ruin Your reputation in our lives--You will continue to be God Almighty, the Great I Am. You always keep Your Word, which lets us know in all things You're with us; And, because You're with us we're more than conquerors in all things! Lord help us admit we're not smart enough to plan our own lives and give us the courage to surrender to Your perfect plan. You made today and there is nothing about this day that will catch You by surprise, help us trust You one minute at a time and know You do all things well. We pray for Laurie Cannon, asking You to move mightily with Your healing touch in her life. We give You praise and we thank You in advance for the victory today, in Jesus Name, Amen.

WEDNESDAY MORNING PRAYER
This is the day that the Lord has made! We will rejoice and be glad in it! Good morning Lord, we thank You for another beautiful day. We are grateful to be alive, our needs are supplied, our family and friends are doing pretty good; Really Lord, we have nothing to complain about. Help us to see the blessing is in our praise, not our complaining. Lord, You desire to be glorified in all that we say and do, give us the strength to praise You right in the middle of whatever it is we want to complain about. We pray one for another, praying all we do today will point back to Jesus. We pray everywhere we go we will let our little light shine, that we not be tempted to use words unbecoming of Whose we are; That we not do things to cause others to doubt the God we serve. Keep us reminded that we may be the only Bible that the people in our lives read, help us purpose in our hearts and minds to not misquote Your Word by the things we do and say. We are Your people, we're glad You call us friend, and no matter what, You refuse to give up on us and walk away. What a Friend we have in Jesus!! Bless Your Name Jesus, we give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Lord we thank You for opening our eyes to see a new day. We thank You for blessing us throughout yesterday and watching over us last night. Father, we recognize we are truly blessed to have the only true and living God in our lives. We're blessed because we are all equally important to You; You don't have favorites, You love us all the same. Even when we mess up Your love to us does not change. Your love to us corrects, directs, leads, guides, forgives, chastises--Your love to us is truly amazing and for this we give You praise. Lord help us to love and trust You enough to know when things are falling apart in our lives, that's when You're arranging things the way You want it. Give us the courage and wisdom to not want to hang on to the old arrangements in our lives but trust You to make all things new. Help us to surrender our lives to You and commit to praising You by being who You created us to be. It's a new and different day today, but we praise You Lord because the same God Who brought us through yesterday is the same God in control today, so we will trust You today. When the enemy comes against us, help us yield not to temptation and give us the strength to say, "Lord, I trust You". It's a great day today and we're thanking You in advance for the great things in store for us, we give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Steps To Happiness
Everybody Knows:
You can't be all things to all people.
You can't do all things at once.
You can't do all things equally well.
You can't do all things better than everyone else.
Your humanity is showing just like everyone else's.
So:
You have to find out who you are, and be that.
You have to decide what comes first, and do that.
You have to discover your strengths, and use them.
You have to learn not to compete with others,
Because no one else is in the contest of *being you*.
Then:
You will have learned to accept your own uniqueness.
You will have learned to set priorities and make decisions.
You will have learned to live with your limitations.
You will have learned to give yourself the respect that is due.
And you'll be a most vital mortal.
Dare To Believe:
That you are a wonderful, unique person.
That you are a once-in-all-history event.
That it's more than a right, it's your duty, to be who you are.
That life is not a problem to solve, but a gift to cherish.
And we'll be able to stay one up on what used to get us.
WEDNESDAY MORNING PRAYER
Praise the Name of Jesus! From the rising of the sun until the going down of the same, Your Name is to be praised! For every mountain, You've brought us over; For every valley, You've seen us through; For every blessing, hallelujah!!! For this we give You praise!! We praise You Lord for all You've done for us and we worship You for Who You are! Father we thank You for being the same yesterday, today and forever, You change not. People change, situations change, seasons change, hardly nothing in our life remains the same, but we can always depend on You to be the same loving, kind, merciful, and just God. You have been faithful all the days of our life, even when we changed up on You, even when we decided to figure things out for ourselves, You never left us, but You remained right there and waited patiently for us to realize You do all things well and You always plan for what's best for us. We pray one for another, asking that You continue to draw us closer to You and help us to realize You desire a real, true, genuine relationship with us, all we need to do is love You back. Take some time to get to know You, spend quality time with You, think about all that You have done for us and appreciate You by living a life that points back to You, a life that glorifies You. This is the day that our Lord has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it, in Jesus Name, Amen.
