READ: Psalm 118:19-29
This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. —Psalm 118:24
In a morning meeting I recently attended, the person who opened the gathering began by praying, “Lord, thanks for today. It is the beginning of a new day we have never seen before.” Although the idea seemed obvious, that prayer got me thinking about a couple of different things. First, because each day is a new opportunity, it will be filled with things we cannot anticipate or even prepare for. Therefore, it’s important that we recognize our limitations and lean heavily on God—intentionally choosing to live in His grace and strength rather than relying on our own resources.
The second thing that occurred to me is that the newness of each day is a gift worth celebrating. Perhaps this concept was what prompted the psalmist to declare, “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Ps. 118:24).
Of course, we face many unknowns today—and some could be difficult. But the treasure of each brand-new day is so special that Moses was led to write, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (90:12). Every new day is a precious gift. May we thankfully embrace each one with confident trust and humble celebration. —quoted
He whose heart is kind beyond all measure Gives unto each day what He deems best— Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure, Mingling toil with peace and rest. —quoted
Each new day gives us new reasons to praise the Lord.
Peace & Blessings to all

MONDAY MORNING PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, we thank You for the gift of life. We thank You Lord because we know it is in You that we live, we move and have our being. We thank You Lord because we know without You there is no way we could live. Without You there is no way we could love or be loved. Without You there is no way we could walk, talk, hear, see, taste, smell, rhyme or reason--You are the source of our strength and the strength of our lives, so we lift our hands in total praise to You. Lord we thank You because You keep doing great things for us; You keep extending new mercy morning by morning; You keep giving us chance after chance to decide it's time we place our lives in Your hands and let Your will be done in our lives--You keep doing great things and right now we offer praise to You, with a shout out to the Most High God, hallelujah!!! Today there will be no whining, complaining, arguing, fussing, gossiping, or putting anyone down; Instead we will speak words that bring life, words that encourage, words that uplift, for we recognize our words are powerful! We praise You Lord for this beautiful day that You have made and we purpose in our hearts right now to rejoice and be glad in it, no matter what, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Broken Dreams
As children bring their broken toys
With tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God
Because He was my friend.
But then instead of leaving Him
In peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help
With ways that were my own.
At last I snatched them back and cried,
"How could you be so slow"
"My child," He said, "What could I do?
You never did let go."
God, we praise You for this day and we thank You for another chance to say yes to Your will. We ask today that You will give us the strength and courage to let go and allow You to have Your way in our lives. Help us to trust Your Word, "Eyes have not seen, neither ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man the things You have prepared for those of us who love You." All that You have prepared for us is Your plan and Your plan only works if we let go of our way and trust Your way. Lord, we thank You for this first day of the best days of our lives and we believe by faith, the best is yet to come! We give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.

WEDNESDAY MORNING PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, we thank You for blessing us to see another beautiful day. We praise You Lord for all that You have done for us, are doing for us and will do for us. We worship You Lord for Who You are--You are our provider. You are our protector. You are our peace. You are our friend. You are our reigning King. You are everything we need You to be, because You are the Great I Am! Father, this morning we're praying for Cheryl Wideman, asking for a mighty healing touch from You. We're praying one for another, asking You to bless each one with the blessings we stand in the need of and help us to know, more than we need anything or anybody, we need a closer walk with You. More than anything we need to experience a true love affair with You, but that love affair will not come if our desire is to take all You will give, and not appreciate ALL that You already gave. Your love to us is amazing, it never stops. You are the only One in our lives who has loved us unconditionally always, no matter what. You've done everything possible to show us how much You love us, then You proposed to us and asked us to be completely Yours--help us to know the rest is up to us. Give us the courage to surrender our will and accept Your proposal. Thank You Lord for all that You've done for us, we give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.

TUESDAY MORNING PRAYER
Lord You are good and Your mercy endures forever! We worship You for Who You are and we praise You because You have been so good to us. We praise You Lord because there has never been a time in our lives that You have let us down. Even after the many times we disobeyed You, the many times we walked away from You, the many times we insisted on doing things our way---You still remained faithful and showered us with new mercy each day. Lord we thank You for another chance to say yes to Your will and we're praying for each eye that reads this prayer, asking that we "think". Think about how much You love us. Think about the many times You kept us from dangers, seen and unseen. Think about the many prayers You have answered for us. Think about how You created the sun, the moon and stars. You created the heavens and the earth. You even created man and You did it all by Yourself, without any help or advise from us. Help us to know, no time is the right time to take matters into our own hands. No time is the right time to figure things out for ourselves. But, if we take the time to think things over, we'll come to the conclusion You didn't need our help in the beginning and You certainly don't need our help now. Lord, draw us closer to You so we can hear Your voice clearly saying, "I got this!" We thank You in advance for the mighty move of God that will take place today, we give You praise, in Jesus Name, Amen.

MONDAY MORNING PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, we thank You for blessing us to see another day. We thank You for another wonderful weekend and we look forward to another victorious week. We pray for Mercedes Snowden, Cheryl Williams Shirley Jackson, Thomas Brinkley, Marty and Derrick, Tawnette, Apostle Berry and we pray one for another asking You to help us remember who we are because of Whose we are; Help us to remember the scars of life will come, but if we keep our dancing partner (Jesus), we can dance with the scars. Lord we thank You for choosing us to be Your silent partner--we're silent because we trust You to make all the decisions; we're silent because when it's time to make a move, we trust You to do what's best for us. We're silent because You're God and You're God all by Yourself and You don't need any assistance from us. Lord, in the areas we lack in being silent and trusting You, give us the strength and courage to desire to do better. Help us to use our voice to offer praise to You, speak life and encourage ourselves in the Lord. Bless us today to remember our words are powerful and if we don't want it, we should not speak it. We give You praise for this beautiful day and we thank You in advance for a better day than yesterday, in Jesus Name, Amen.

FRIDAY MORNING INSPIRATION AND PRAYER
WHAT IF?
What if God couldn't take the time to bless us today because we couldn't take the time to thank Him yesterday?
What if God decided to stop leading us tomorrow because we didn't follow Him today?
What if we never saw another flower bloom because we grumbled when God sent the rain?
What if God didn't walk with us today because we failed to recognize it as His day?
What if God took away His message because we failed to listen to the messenger?
What if God didn't send His only begotten Son because He wanted us to be prepared to pay the price for sin?
What if the door of the church was closed because we did not open the door of our heart?
What if God stopped loving and caring for us because we failed to love and care for others?
What if God would not hear us today because we would not listen to Him yesterday?
What if God answered our prayers the way we answer His call to service?
What if God met our needs the way we give Him our lives?
What if? God doesn't have to, but it's because of His grace and Mercy.
God we thank and praise You today because You continue to love us unconditionally. Lord, we pray one for another that we never take advantage of Your grace, for You don't owe us anything, but we owe You our lives. You freely give to us always and we ask that You forgive us for being selfish, inconsiderate and stubborn. Forgive us for acting as if our lives belong to us, when clearly You told us we have been bought with a price and we are to glorify You. We pray Your forgiveness for the many times we didn't honor and praise You the way You so rightly deserve. Lord, today is the day to realize You don't have to, but You do because You love us, and for this we owe You the praise. We thank You in advance for giving us the strength to press through our distractions, and purpose in our hearts to praise, worship and honor You, in Jesus Name, Amen.

THURSDAY MORNING PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, we begin this day giving You praise, Hallelujah Jesus! We bless Your Name and shout out, "Thank You Jesus for one more day!" You have blessed us with one more day to praise Your Name, one more day to worship and adore You, one more day to draw closer to You, one more day to forgive our brother or sister, one more day to let go of grudges, one more day to choose to say no to our will and yes to Your will; Thank You Lord for one more day. We pray that each one comes to the realization that tomorrow is not promised, people are dying everyday, all we know we have is right now, so right now is the time to get it right with You. Right now is the time to stop insisting we know what's best for our lives. Right now is the time to stop running from You and start chasing after You. Lord bless each person that feels a void to know it can only be filed by You and right now is the time to surrender to You. It's a great day today and we shall not be distracted by the way things look to us, but instead we will give You a "right now" praise, because we know You're behind the scene working all things together for our good. Help us to know when things are 'worked together' it will not always feel good to us, but it's ours to trust You in all things, and believe Your grace and mercy will see us through. We give You praise for the victory today, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Because of Calvary,
Bishop Willie W. Williams
