FRIDAY INSPIRATION AND PRAYER:
The Quilt Holes

As I faced my Maker at the last judgment, I knelt before the Lord along with all the other souls.

Before each of us laid our lives like the squares of a quilt in many piles; an angel sat before each of us sewing our quilt squares together into a tapestry that is our  life.

But as my angel took each piece of cloth off the pile, I noticed how ragged and empty each of my squares was.   They were filled with giant holes.  Each square was labeled with a part of my life that had been difficult, the challenges and temptations I was faced with in everyday life.  I saw hardships that I endured, which were the largest holes of all.

I glanced around me.

Nobody  else had such squares.  Other than a tiny hole here and  there, the other tapestries were filled with rich color and the bright hues of worldly  fortune.  I gazed upon my own life and was  disheartened.

My angel was sewing the ragged pieces of cloth together, threadbare and empty, like binding air.

Finally the time came when each  life was to be displayed, held up to the light, the scrutiny of truth.  The others rose; each in turn, holding up their tapestries.  So filled their lives had been.  My angel looked upon me and nodded for me to rise.

My gaze dropped to the ground in shame.  I hadn't had all the earthly fortunes.  I had love in my life  and laughter.  But there had also been trials of illness and wealth, and false accusations that took from me my world, as I knew it.  I had to start over many times.  I often struggled with the temptation to quit, only to somehow muster the strength to pick up and begin again.  I spent many nights on my knees in prayer, asking for help and guidance in my life.  I  had often been held up to ridicule, which I endured painfully, each time offering it up to the Father in hopes that I would not melt within my skin  beneath the judgmental gaze of those who unfairly judged  me.

And now, I had to face the truth....  My life was what it was, and I had to accept it for what it was.

I rose and slowly lifted the  combined squares of my life to the light.

An awe-filled gasp filled the air.  I gazed around at the others who stared at me with wide eyes.

Then, I looked upon the tapestry before me. Light flooded the many holes, creating an image, the face of Christ.  Then our Lord stood before me, with warmth and love in His eyes.  He said, 'Every time you gave over your life to Me, it became My  life, My hardships, and My struggles.  Each point of light in your life is when you stepped aside and let Me shine through, until there was more of Me than there was of you.'

May all our quilts be threadbare and worn, allowing Christ to shine through!

When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you  need.

Father, bless all my family and friends in whatever it is that you know they may need this day!  And may their life be full of your peace, prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with you.  Amen.

THURSDAY MORNING PRAYER:
Good morning Lord!  You did it again, created another beautiful day and blessed us to still be here to enjoy all the benefits of today.   Lord, we thank You for new mercy, for sharing Your grace and giving us Your unconditional love always---Great is Your faithfulness!   Yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come, all we know we have is today, bless us today to live today like tomorrow may never come.  Help us to not hold back any smiles, give us the courage to speak to that person we have been avoiding, the strength to let go of past pain, disappointment and confusion, the will to say, "I'm sorry" and the desire to forgive even if the person who wronged, hurt or betrayed us never says, "I'm sorry".   Help us to not procrastinate today, we can do "it" today, whatever our "it" is, give us the wisdom, courage and strength to not put "it" off another day, but do "it" today.  Lord, we praise and thank You in advance for blessing us indeed today.  Lord, we ask a special blessing for Apostle Berry and her sister, Mother Ola Mae Brown in Austin, Tx., and Sis. Shirley Hunter of Long Beach, CA..  We know that You, Who art the Great Physician, can do anything but fail.  Let Thy Will, not our will be done, in Jesus Name, Amen.

WEDNESDAY MORNING PRAYER:
Lord, for this day that You have blessed us to see, we say thank You.   God, we thank You for watching over us throughout the night and for waking us with Your powerful finger of love this morning.   We thank You Lord for the privilege of having an alarm clock or cell phone that goes off in the morning to wake us, but we know it was You Who said, "wake up and turn the alarm off".   Lord, we take nothing for granted, we thank You for all of our many, many blessings--shelter, food, clothing, running water, a bed, air, sunlight, transportation, a job or means to support ourselves, family, friends, enemies, coworkers, supervisors, traffic--all of these things remind us that we're alive and we're alive because You spared our lives and blessed us with another chance to say yes to Your will.   Help us to remember, we were created to worship You and this day exists for us to do something to glorify You.  Give us the strength to say no to all distractions or attempts to cause us to loose focus and the courage to keep pressing our way through.   It's a great day today and we will rejoice and be glad in it, in Jesus Name, Amen.

TUESDAY MORNING PRAYER:
Oh Lord, how excellent is Thy Name in all the earth!  We thank You Jesus because at the mention of Your Name demons flee, so we begin this day saying, in the Name of Jesus we shall have a great day, a victorious day, a stress free day!   In the Name of Jesus, we are healed, we are delivered, we are free, we are more than conquerors and we shout, hallelujah Jesus!    God, we are excited about who we are because we know when You breathed the breath of life in to us, You breathed greatness and there is no one, no where that can beat us BEING who You created us to be.   Lord, give each one who reads this prayer the courage to lift up their heads, stick their chests out and know You are the King of Glory.  You are strong and mighty and mighty in battle, and with everything that You Are, You've got our backs and You're ordering our steps in to the bright future that You have planned for us.  Help us to follow Your lead and know, no weapon formed against us shall prosper; With You we are automatic winners!!!    Lord, because in You we are automatic winners if trouble comes today we shall say, "Go Jesus, go!"    If discouragement tries to creep in, we will say, "Go Jesus, go!"   Lord, give us a clean heart, renew a right spirit in us and help us to say no matter what, "Go Jesus, go!"   For we know, there is nobody, no thing and no spirit greater than You!  Thank You Lord for perfect peace today, in Jesus Name, Amen.
