FRIDAY MORNING INSPIRATION:

BACK DOWN MEMORY LANE
It’s nice to take a stroll back down memory lane. Remember the good ole days, have a laugh or two. It’s healthy to take a stroll back down memory lane, remember the hard and not so happy times; take the refresher course, remember what you dare not to repeat.

Memories are, “the ability of the mind to retain learned information and knowledge of past events and experiences and to retrieve that information and knowledge”. Whether the memory is good or not so good, they are in the past and we cannot live in “the memory”. Take the stroll, but you can’t stay there.

We try to remember for different reasons; truth is, no one will remember like you remember. What you remember may not be as important to me, but that’s ok, it’s your memory. Honestly, most of the time it’s to your advantage to remember what you remember the way you remember, and for the same token, it’s to my advantage for me to remember what I remember the way I remember. Who wants to remember they were wrong? There is no need to fall out over what you remember your way and I remember my way.

If we’re going to take a stroll back down memory lane, let’s do it to have a laugh or two, or to take a refresher course to remember what we dare not repeat. Let go of what he said that she said, and what he did that she didn’t; those memories will keep you in the memory and the future will continue to wait for you.

THURSDAY MORNING PRAYER:

Father in heaven, we thank You for opening our eyes to a new day. We thank You for allowing us to feel the coolness of the morning as we anticipate the heat of the sun. Lord, we’re grateful to still be here; still being here lets us know You still have work for us to do. We pray one for another, asking You to help us remember Who lives in us; help us remember there is no body or no thing greater than the Great One Who lives in us. You’re not intimidated by the issues of life and because we live, move and have our being in You neither should we be intimidated. Give us the courage to magnify You over all, in all, no matter what. We’re on the winning team, we win! We pray each one will live today exemplifying characteristics of the winning team; we will live like we know we win, in Jesus Name, Amen.

WEDNESDAY MORNING PRAYER:

Our Father in heaven, Lord we thank You for waking us to see today. We feel pretty good, we’re moving around freely, our vital organs are functioning and we have a mind to praise You, ALL because of You. We thank You for being everything we need You to be, You are the Great I am; thank You for sharing Your GREATNESS with us. Draw each one closer to You, help us to trust You more and take You at Your Word. Help us to know You hear and answer each one of our prayers; sometimes You say, 'yes', sometimes 'wait' and sometimes 'no'. Give us the strength and courage to trust You even when the answer is, 'wait' or 'no'. Help us to know, You absolutely know what's best for us, and the best way to get to what's best for us; Help us to trust Your way. This is the day our faithful God has made, we WILL rejoice and be glad in it, in Jesus Name, Amen.

MONDAY MORNING PRAYER:

O Lord, our God, You are the source of our strength and the strength of our life; we praise You for another day of life. It’s a new day filled with endless possibilities and we’re thankful for all of the many benefits that come with this day. We pray each one will use the gift You blessed us with to glorify You. You blessed us with a smile, let us smile today and look to be a blessing to all we come in contact with. We pray our complaints turn to praise, our doubt be erased by our faith and our troubles become our testimony. We ask Your expedient healing touch on Mary Ann Wadsworth and all who are experiencing sickness. We pray You draw each one closer to You and that we will live this day in confidence, knowing we live, move and have our being in You. We declare today is a day of progress, in Jesus Name, Amen.

FRIDAY MORNING INSPIRATION:

WHY ARE WE HERE AGAIN?

Does here look familiar?
Why are we here again?
What was so good about being here the last time? And the time before that?
Why do we keep coming here?
Didn't we learn anything the last time?

Why do we repeat the same mistakes over and over?
Do we like pain, disappointment, failure, wasting time?
Of course not!!! So why keep coming here?

Ever wondered why Paul's testimony about putting the past behind and pressing forward is in the Bible? I don’t know, maybe it’s because God wants us to know the past ain’t where it is. God cannot work in the present because we keep dragging along the past.

Make the choice today to stop having the same argument. Make the choice to stop visiting the same situation and getting the same result. Make the choice to stop “trying” to make it work; what God has for you, it’s yours, period. All of the “trying” is because you’re doing all the work, it’s your will, NOT God’s will.

Make the choice today to trust God, let go of the old and expect the new. God has great things in store for us. Are you ready? I am!!!!

THURSDAY MORNING PRAYER:
We praise Thee O God! We magnify Your Name! We give thanks for this beautiful day. We give thanks for our life, health, strength and a true connection with the only true and living God. We give thanks for another chance to say yes to Your will. We give thanks for a mind to praise You and a heart to worship You. We declare by faith, today is a good day to live out our purpose; today is a good day to make another step towards goals set and dreams made. We’re praying for Paula Bell and family as they grieve the passing of her twin brother. Lord, speak peace, grant comfort and draw each one closer to You that in You they will receive all they need to make it through. We pray for Rev. & Mrs. Hunter, You know their situation, we know You know their need and will supply, in the Name of Jesus. Bless each one who reads this prayer with the understanding, the time is now to do what we keep saying we’re going to do. We give You praise for the victory today, in Jesus Name, Amen.

WEDNESDAY MORNING PRAYER:
Our Father in heaven, holy You are and holy You will always be. We thank and praise You for opening our eyes to a new day. We thank You because with this new day, You have already extended new mercies; great is Thy faithfulness. We pray one for another, asking You to give strength to the weak, healing to the sick, direction to those who are searching, and courage to the faint at heart. We confess, we need You every second, minute and hour of this day; lead, guide and direct our path. Help us to remember in the midst of battles and struggles You’re there, and if we allow You to be God in our life, we can thank You in advance for the victory. Give us the strength to keep our hands out of Your business, and instead lift our hands in praise to the Almighty God and purpose in our heart to rejoice and be glad in this day, no matter what! In Jesus Name, Amen.

Amen & Thank You for the Thursday prayer Bishop Willie,

God bless you!!

Lord, we come  lifting Donnette Pitchford c/o '75 and the Pitchford Family up to you in prayer. Lord, please let Donnette and her family know that they are not alone. Lord, please let Donnette know that the thoughts and the love of her Alumni Family are with her not only today; but always. Donnette remember that we are here for you and that we are just a phone call away if you need us or if you need anything or just to talk. Lord, we pray that your deep abiding love and your understanding will help Donnette and her Family in their grief (not only for the loss of her Sister Larcenia Pitchford c/o '76 but also for the recent loss of Larcenia's Son as well). Lord, this Family is grieving for two family members at the same time.  Lord God, we ask that you would hold them near and that you comfort them in their loss of a Sister and a Nephew. Lord, we ask that you ease their pain as they grieve their loved ones. Lord, please bring their sorrowful hearts relief as only you can. Lord, we ask that they find peace in the memories of their loved ones. Lord, we ask this prayer in your Precious Name; in the Precious Name of Jesus.
Amen
