Sometimes in our lives we will gain friends and friendships and sometimes we will lose them. We grow and we learn from each friendship, in the end it helps to make us better people. The lost of a friend or a friendship for whatever reason(s) can be devastating (but remember with every loss there will eventually be a gain or gains)!!

"A Reason, A Season, A Lifetime"

People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you will know exactly what to do.

When someone is in your life for a "REASON", it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a Godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need then to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die, Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a "SEASON", it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. BELIEVE IT!!!! It is real!! But, only for a season.

"LIFETIME" relationships teach you lifetime lessons; those you should build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway), and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

PRAYER

Lord, we lift all of our friendships and relationships to You, and we ask You to bless them. We pray that each one will be glorifying to You. Lord, help us to choose our friends wisely so that we will not be led astray. Lord, we ask that you give us discernment and strength to separate ourselves from anyone who is not a good influence. Lord, we release all of our friendships and relationships to You and we pray that "Your Will Be Done" in each one of them. Lord, we ask and pray that if any of us need to change that you would change us and that you would break down any wall of misunderstanding that any of us may have. Lord we thank you for sending godly friends, role models, and mentors into our lives. Lord, we pray that our friends will be trustworthy, honorable, kind, loving and faithful. Lord, because none of us are perfect; we thank you for allowing each of us to learn good and bad life lessons from each of our friends because that allows us to grow. We thank you Lord for your daily guidance, and we are mindful to give you all the honor, all the glory and all the praise in this. Lord, we ask this prayer in Your Precious Name, the Precious Name of Jesus.
