We can end these discussions at this point. I really had no intention of finger pointing. I rather act positively, though some are stating I am acting negatively. I will agree that Wayne Ware- nominated for Community Activity in creating the Centennial High School Alumni Association; is an excellent choice. It would be much clearer, quantifying the inductee's qualifications in this manner. All anyone needs to do is look at Year Books and Newspapers to review who graduated from the 'TEN and what activities were conducted by some of the inductees. Of course as I have admitted, this from my limited understanding of some of the inductees. I for one, have come back to my hometown of Compton to help all of the High Schools. For the past two years I have mentored with Elevate Your Game at Compton High School. The 'TEN has this program, though it is a peer to peer program during lunch time. I am in discussion with Compton High School and will approach the 'TEN Principal on Fundraising Concerts, logistics need to be outlined. I have recently become a Vocational Instructor with a Private Electrical Trade School, I will be discussing the possibility of bringing this option to High School Students and in the Adult Education sector. I am collaborating with a Gang Intervention/Anger Management group called 2nd Call, which has an office both in L.A. and in the City of Compton, and collaborates with IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) members; by mentoring and conducting mock panel interviews. I had been on the Los Angeles Urban Roundtable Community Action group led by Earl Ofari Hutchinson; discussing issues within the urban communities. I began with the Hutchinson group when the Black and Brown violence started about five years ago. I began working these activities part time, now I'm fully involved. Though some may call me negative, I do greatly care about the urban youth and adults. I did move out to the suburbs, now I come back to help. I often remember the Hip-Hop tune by 2PAC called ‘I ain't mad at cha’, one line states 'I moved out the ghetto, so I ain't real now'. The youth initially see me this way, once I let them know I once sat in their chairs it begins to change. Let's drop this discussion and I agree with you, move on to more positive measures.

Hey David, although I do appreciate your coming back and commenting to all, but you still were not specific. Get down to business and let all of us know who specifically that you see on the list that you think should not be a part of the 2010 Inductee list. Who is the person(s) who have engaged in illegal activities. I for one do not know, so let us all know? Also like it has been stated before if you have a questionable problem with the list or if you want to nominate someone else then do it the right way and e-mail the WebMaster properly (the right way and in order) instead of what it seems to me making these rants and tirades and negative statements. Peace to you Bro. David!

I have the utmost respect for the Centennial Alumni Association and Centennial High School. My comments were made from limited information. At the 30th C' 74 Reunion, I was told that Timothy Lewis is a Doctor. I had not heard any negative aspects pertaining to any other life issues, concerning Timothy Lewis.
I will say that as I sat and cheered for the Apaches on Friday 9-10-2010; I was proud of all the 'TEN participants from the Team, Band, Cheer, Centennettes, Concessions, and all Faculty and Coaching/Directing Staff, and the 'TEN High School Alumni Association. I went and shook the hand of the Band Director, and mentioned to send my congrats to the band and staff. When I wrote my message I knew I would anger some folks, which was not my intent. With my limited knowledge of the inductee list and from what I have seen at other school Hall of Fame lists, the criteria should be upheld so that a Hall of Fame is proudly showcased. A Hall of Fame can be tarnished if people can ask; why is this person on the Hall of Fame. I understand that once an Apache always an Apache, my understanding of a Hall of Fame is that the main criteria is that a person graduated from a particular school, which in this case is Centennial. Also, what usually is also a criterion is that it can be quantified as to an inductee’s qualification in being on a Hall of Fame. I believe standards of criterion can be developed as to the qualifications for being listed on the Hall of Fame. I am sure that there are Graduated Alumni from the ‘Ten, which have excelled in Politics, Science, Medical, Entertainment, Sports, and Community Action Groups genres. By this I mean that there is no negative or illegal actions that were conducted by an individual inductee, or that it is simply that an individual has done well at their workplace. An Hall of Fame needs to spotlight true accomplishments, quantifying the inductee's untarnished qualifications, will enable anyone to understand an individual being placed on the Hall of Fame. This is what I meant in my first message.

I found this 6-18-2009 information online regarding the Class of 1974 Alumni Timothy Lewis "Timmy Lou" that David Pinedo is speaking of. Once again David , make sure you know what you are talking about before you speak. This is exactly how information is misconstrued or misspoken.
