GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME

Question: When you woke up this morning what was the first thing you thought about?
Was it the argument you had last night?
The disappointment you experienced last week?
Your job? The fact that you don't have a job?
Your health? Your bills? Your relationship or lack thereof?
What was your first thought?
I compare life to a basketball game, if your head is not in the game you will make bad passes, miss the layup, shoot bricks and you won’t be ready for the “no look” pass.
The best way to have a great game each day is to think about the “Coach’s Playbook” all the time.
Our first thought in the morning should be, “Thank You Lord for one more day”.
Just as we exercise to form our muscles, we must exercise our thoughts to form our mind. Thinking about things we cannot change weakens our mind; Hence our thoughts are weak and not centered around TRUTH. The fact is, if your first thought was not, “Thank You Lord”, you woke up with your head not in the game and your thoughts not centered around TRUTH.
The fact is, “In this world we shall have tribulations—things that get us down, discourage us, tempt us, etc. But TRUTH said, “Be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.” If we don’t think we are winners, we will struggle to win the game.

Let’s get our head in the game. Here’s the game plan
1. Get to know the Coach
2. Listen to and trust the Coach
3. Praise the Coach
4. Follow the plays the Coach has written on the board (Bible)
5. Worship the Coach because of His great reputation
Get your head in the game, practice going to sleep saying, “Thank You” and waking up saying, “Thank You”. Saying “Thank You” is a great start to a great Game Day.
Our coach has the Master Game Plan which says, “Bottom line, we win!” Let’s go team!!! Today we’re playing another game we automatically win. Don’t concentrate on the score, just play the game and trust our Coach.

THURSDAY MORNING PRAYER

We worship You O mighty God, there is none like You. We worship You O Prince of Peace, that is what we love to do. We give You praise, for You are our righteousness. We worship You O mighty God, there is none like You! Thank You Lord for waking us to see another beautiful day. It may be raining outside and for some it's raining in our personal lives, but still it's a beautiful day because You made it. Help us to know because You made this day, there is nothing about this day that will take You by surprise. Help us begin this day leaning on You and believe even if something happens that takes us by surprise, You're already busy working it together for good; So we will trust You Lord. This morning we lift the family of Larvine Johnson to You, asking that You draw them closer to You, so they will experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray one for another, asking that each one recognizes time is winding up, we're closer today to meeting You face to face than we ever have been. It's time we be about Your business, more today than we were yesterday. You told us to have love one to another and by our love one to another people will know we belong to You. Help us to know the love we display will cause others to see You and become curious about receiving Who we have--that's Kingdom Business. Give us the strength and courage to walk away from the things that are causing us to concentrate more on our feelings, anger and opinions. Help us dismiss the things that continue to distract us and cause us to not be concerned about the reason we're here. We're here to glorify Your Name. We're here to live out the purpose for which You created us. We're here to point others to You by the life we live. We pray each one is serious today about living so You can use us. Today is a great day, it's the best day to live out the love that You continue to freely give to us unconditionally. Today is the best day to leave yesterday where it is and press forward today believing we are more than conquerors, in Jesus Name, Amen.

WEDNESDAY MORNING PRAYER

Our Father in heaven, it's another day's journey and we're glad about it! You've blessed us with our health and strength and we're glad about it! We looked around and our family and friends are well and we're glad about it! We're glad because You blessed us to see another beautiful day. We're glad because all our needs Your hand has provided. We're glad because goodness and mercy continues to follow us everywhere we go. We're glad because our God is an awesome God! We're glad because Your faithfulness to us is great all the time. We're glad because absolutely nothing can separate us from Your unconditional love to us---thank You Lord for blessing us to see another perfect day, we shall rejoice and be glad in it, no matter what! We're praying one for another, asking that You help us to stay focused and on course today. There are many distractions that continue to surround us everyday, give us the wisdom to know distractions are designed to take us off course. Distractions keep us from thinking great, doing great, and expecting great. Open our eyes so we will see the distraction and give us the courage to say "no" and continue to move forward in the things You have called us to do. We can do all things through Christ Who gives us strength; Help us to know our dreams, visions and goals are included in "all things". Today is the day to continue pursuing our "all things" and know You have already given us the victory, but we have to do our work. We love You Lord and we praise You in advance for our realized victory today, in Jesus Name, Amen.

TUESDAY MORNING PRAYER

Our Father in heaven, we thank You for waking us to see another new day. We thank You for all that our eyes have seen, our ears have heard and our hearts have been made to bear witness. Out of all that we've seen, heard and felt our conclusion is, You are: Loving, kind, compassionate, good, gracious, merciful, forgiving, faithful, just-- You are the Great I Am ALL time and we love You for loving us with all of You. We pray one for another, asking that You will help us remember there is no need to panic today, there is no need to worry today, there is no need to allow ourselves to get angry today, there is no need to take matters into our own hands today--because the same God that has kept us all the days of our lives is still on the throne. You're still healing, You're still delivering, You're still making ways where there seem to be no way, You're still opening doors man thought were closed air tight, You're still the only true and living God and all we need to do today is trust You, worship You and praise You with our lives because "You've got ALL of this!" It's a great day made by our Great God and we're expecting great things. We thank You for bringing Cora Carter through her surgery and we're thanking You in advance for a speedy recovery. We pray for our family and friends, asking that You will heal the sick, deliver those in bondage, lift up bowed down heads and if there is anything we can do to make today better, we surrender all to You, use us in this great day to do great things, in Jesus Name, Amen.

FRIDAY MORNING INSPIRATION

TODAY DOES NOT HAVE TO BE LIKE YESTERDAY
You worried yesterday, today trust God. Worrying affects your health and quite frankly, does not look good on you.
You were grouchy yesterday, today smile. Being grouchy makes you miserable and causes others to run when they see you coming.
Yesterday you were sick and you let everybody know it. Today speak Truth, “I am healed, I am well, in the Name of Jesus!”
Yesterday you found pleasure in reminding others of what they did. Today remember you have a past as well. What would you do if God held your past against you?
Yesterday you asked the Lord for more and thanked Him less. Today switch it around, thank the Lord more and ask for less, got’ta feeling things will work out better for you.
Yesterday you continued the ”two step” from the day before-- two steps forward and two steps back. Today do a new dance called, “forward march”. Bust a move, get “jiggy wit it”, have fun, but keep moving forward! Why keep going back to where you’ve been before?
Today can be the first day of the best days of your life, but that depends on you. Will you renew your mind today and purpose in your heart to rejoice and be glad in this day, no matter what?
Everyday declare, “Today will not be like yesterday”. Do something that will make someone smile and be happy you are here today.

Good morning Lord! It's mighty nice to see another beautiful day and know our God is still the reigning King of kings and Lord of lords. Bless each one to know, today will be so much better if we would only remember, You reign forever and with all of Your power You're on our side. The truth that You're on our side makes us automatically winners! We win because there is nothing too hard for You to do. We win because You are faithful, You did it yesterday and You will do it today. We win because You're all knowing, You know what's best for us and if we follow Your game-plan we will continue to be champions. We win because You're all powerful and You have empowered us to go. We can go forth with the plan to glorify You with our visions, dreams, and goals knowing we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus. We pray each one knows we're on the winning team and it's time to start playing like the winners we are. Help us to know winners don't fuss, complain, whine, or have pity-parties; Winners simply play the game. Winners run the race with confidence knowing when a hurdle comes You will give us the strength to jump over, and with each obstacle You will give us the wisdom, strength and courage to get through. We pray each one goes forth today displaying their "winner light" and praising their "Winning coach" knowing the victory belongs to us. We're rejoicing and being glad in this day, no matter what, in Jesus Name, Amen.

We worship You Almighty God, there is none like You. We worship You O Prince of Peace, this is what we love to do. We give You praise because You are our righteousness. We love You Lord and we lift our voice to praise You, for You are a mighty God. We shout out, HALLELUJAH!!! Because there is none like You! Lord, we thank You for loving us just the way we are; You know everything there is to know about us and still You call us friend. We thank You for being the kind of friend Who we can talk to about everything and our worry is never that You will judge us, but You continue to pour Your love on us and assure us there is nothing too bad that You can't fix and make good. We pray one for another, asking that You will help us remember Who our friend is; You've blessed us with humans to call friend, but we pray no one forgets You are the only constant friend we have. Help us remember You're with us everywhere we go today, so there is no need for us to tackle any situation alone. Help us to remember we can do all things through Christ Who gives us strength. So, we're going forth today with vision and purpose; AND we shall let nothing trick us, discourage us, or stop us from rejoicing and being glad in this beautiful day that You made for us. We praise You Lord and we thank You in advance for giving us the confidence and the assurance that we can trust our Best Friend, in Jesus Name, Amen.

MONDAY MORNING PRAYER
We praise Your Name Jesus! We thank You Lord for opening our eyes to another new day filled with Your goodness, kindness, mercy and grace. We thank You Lord for our life, health and strength. We thank You Lord because You just keep on being God, no matter what we say or do. You continue to be faithful even when we're unfaithful. You continue to be loving even when we refuse to obey Your command to have love one to another. You continue to be merciful even when we refuse to acknowledge it's been You all the time keeping us from day to day; It's been You opening doors for us and refusing to let anyone close them; It's been You causing us to live, move and have our being ---We thank You Lord because You keep doing great things for us, no matter what we say or do. We pray each one appreciates Your never ending love to us more by praising You with the lives we live. We thank You for today and because we know tomorrow is not promised, we will live today to be a blessing to someone else. We will live today forgetting about the wrong that was done yesterday. We will live today letting our light shine so that those who need to see You, will see You through us. We will live today offering praises to the Most High God, the only True and Living God, our Rock, our Savior, our Redeemer, our Strength, our Comforter, our Peace, our Lord, our Savior, our King! Hallelujah Jesus! We're rejoicing and being glad in this great day, no matter what, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Lord, You are good and Your mercy endures forever! We worship You, hallelujah, hallelujah! We worship You for Who You are. We thank You Lord for being good all the time. We thank You for being faithful all the time. We thank You for being loving all the time. We thank You for being just all the time. We thank You for being forgiving all the time. You are an "ALL THE TIME" God and we praise You for being all that You are in our lives all the time. What a mighty God we serve! Lord, we thank You for blessing us to see one more day. We pray one for another, asking that You will give us the courage to trust You with all our heart and lean not to our own understanding. In all our ways, before we do anything, acknowledge You first and believe You will direct our path. We thank You for hearing and answering our prayers--You're continuing to heal. You're continuing to deliver. You're continuing to bring us through. You're continuing to make ways where there seems to be no way. You're continuing to close doors that we can't pry open, help us to know it's for our good. You're continuing to give us new strength. We pray each one is reminded of the fact that You are the same yesterday, today and forever; Which means You will continue to be the same God that You continue to be; Which further means we can trust You with our lives. You see all, know all and can do all--help us to know it's best to surrender all to You. It's a great day today, we shall rejoice and be glad in it, no matter what. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

WEDNESDAY MORNING PRAYER

Our Father in heaven, we offer praises to You because You are our refuge, our strength, our present help, our strong tower, our rock, our healer, our deliverer; You are everything to us, You mean the world to us and we love You! We love You because Your love to us is always amazing. In spite of the many times we choose our way instead of Your way, You continue to love us unconditionally and for this we give You praise. Thank You Lord for blessing us to see another day and for giving us another chance to say yes to Your will. We thank You for always being worthy of all the praise. We thank You Lord because we don't have to think hard, we don't have to look far or listen close, we can always sense Your nearness and feel Your presence wherever we go, thank You for always keeping Your Word to us. Lord we pray for each eye that will read this prayer and each ear that will hear, asking that You continue to draw us closer to You and that we make a conscious decision to do our best in Your presence today. Help us remember everywhere we go, in all that we do and say, You are there and our goal should always be to please You. The words we speak, the actions we take, let everything we do be to Your glory. We pray someone will be blessed today by the love we share through our smiles. We pray someone will be encouraged today by the simple words, "Good morning" and "Have a nice day". We pray each person will open up to You and declare, "Here I am Lord, use me." Today is the day to let our light shine. Today is the day to let the world see You through us. Today is the day to take another step forward in living out our purpose, the victory belongs to us, in Jesus Name, Amen.
