The Seventies are special to me because both my sons were born in the seventies. I first was born in 1972 and the other was born in 1975. In fact my son born in 1975 was insistant on interupting my viewing of the Jeffersons. I was trying to watch the Jefferson that night but he wouldn't let me and a few hours later he was born.

I REMEMBER THE PLATFORM SHOES OF THE 70's AND ALL OF THE TIE-DYE & THE PSYCHADELIC CLOTHES THAT WE WORE AND DEFINITELY ALL OF THE FUNKY AFRO HAIR STYLES WITH THE CAKE CUTTER AFRO PICK. I ALSO REMEMBER ALL OF THE SLANG LANGUAGE THAT WE USED.  I FOUND THESE PHOTOS ONLINE; ENJOY!!

I REMEMBER THE "COMPTON DRIVE-IN THEATRE". THOSE WERE THE DAYS WHEN OUR FAMILY AND MY COUSINS WOULD PILE IN THE CAR OR OUR STATION WAGON TO GO SEE THE MOVIES!! (smile.......)

I REMEMBER THE 45 RECORDS & THE 33 ALBUM RECORDS ALONG WITH THE RECORD PLAYERS. MY PARENTS LOVED PLAYING AL GREEN'S "LETS STAY TOGETHER" ALBUM.  MY MOM & DAD ALWAYS GAVE HOUSE PARTIES & THEN WHEN MY BROTHER AND I WERE TEENS WE ALWAYS HAD PARTIES AS WELL (THE RED LIGHT & THE BLUE LIGHT PARTIES). TO THIS DAY I KNOW THOSE AL GREEN SONGS BY HEART!! (smile.....)
