To our Classmate & Alumni Kevin, we are very sad to hear of your stroke. Please know that "We Love You" and that you and your family will be in our prayers. If there is anything that we can do beyond prayer; please do not hesitate to let us know.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, we come together as Classmates & as an Alumni Family lifting up our Classmate Kevin Hall in prayer who suffered a stroke and who is now in surgery. Lord, we ask that you would watch over Kevin as well as his family and Lord we ask that Kevin and his family will lean on You. Lord grant them peace and mercy. Lord, we know that we serve an awesome God who is still and always has been on the throne. Lord, we thank you that when Kevin suffered the stroke that he was at home with his family; as oppose to him being at work on the road driving and carrying a load in his Companies' Big Rig Truck where he drives in and out of state; because he could have suffered the stroke on the highway and put not only himself; but put many other drivers in jeopardy on the highway. Lord, we know that only you are in control of this situation. Lord, we know that you are a Miracle Worker "A Great Physician" and Lord, we know that you work and perform miracles everyday. Lord God, your word says that if 2-two on earth shall agree, it will come to pass. Lord, we desire and we are asking for a miracle today with Kevin and his family so that all may see, praise and glorify Your Holy Name. Lord, we ask that you would guide the doctors and medical professionals hands and minds, all those who are attending during the stroke surgery that is taking place today. Lord, we ask in advance, that all will be well with our Classmate Kevin's body and that he does not suffer another stroke during surgery.  Lord, we ask that you give Kevin's family, friends and co-workers, peace to help ease their minds "anyway and anyhow" today. Lord, we ask that you give them all strength to move forward knowing that you are in control and that you are right there in the midst of them and right there carrying them through this. Lord, we ask for a full recovery for Kevin, the healing of his body and a total restoration of health for our Classmate & Alumni Kevin. Lord, we ask that your name be glorified through this and Lord, we ask and pray that the Hall family continues to keep their trust in you and that they keep their eyes fixed upon You always.  Lord, we give You all the victory, all the glory, and all the praise in Your Precious Name, the Precious Name of Jesus.
Amen

Hey Classmates and Alumni,
Prayer definitely changes things and all of our collective prayers have been working for good for Kevin!!

Big shout out and special thanks to Connie Washington c/o '77 (Kevin's Girl) who was with Kevin at the time of his stroke and who immediately called the paramedics for him. We thank God that Connie was there and that Kevin was not home alone. Connie has been at Kevin's bedside almost daily since the stroke happened.

(THE MAJORITY OF THIS UPDATE INFO. IS FROM WAYNE WARE. I JUST WANTED TO POST IT & UPDATE EVERYONE)!!

Kevin has had many visitors and phone callers inquiring about his well being.

On Thursday, Oct. 3 Natanya Nelson-Blakely visited Kevin but Kevin could not speak or open his eyes beacause he had tubes all over his body including his mouth. Natanya was extremely sad to see Kevin this way. While Natanya was there our Willowbrook Jr. High School Classmate Richard Thomas "Pokey" visited him along with Kevin's daughter.

What a difference a few days make :

On Saturday, Oct. 5 Anthony "Tony B." Benford visited Kevin and all of the tubes had been removed accept for one and Kevin talked a little bit.

On Sunday, Oct. 6 Lloyd Langie visited Kevin and Kevin talked a little more.

Then :

On Mon. Oct. 7 Wayne Ware & 'me' Phoebe Macon visited Kevin and on that day of our visit, Kevin heard our voices and was looking at us through the glass window in front of his room. The nurse told us that the last tube had been removed from Kevin's nose. She asked us if we were his family and we told her that we were his H.S. Classmates (she could not believe that we still kept in touch with one another since H.S.); she said that she was also amazed that Kevin had so many visitors come by to see him. She said that many patients have no one to come to visit them at all (which is very sad). When we came into Kevin's room when he saw Wayne & I; he said both of our names in full. I saw a familiar face and 'lo and behold' it was our c/o '75 Classmate Joy Jones there. Wayne & I had not seen Joy since 1975 (38 years ago). It's a small world; Joy and Kevin had a child together back in the day (a daughter). Classmates, Joy says hello to all of you, and she plans to come on the websites in the near future!!

On Wed. Oct. 9 Delbert "Bay" Gordon visited Kevin, when "Bay" got there Kevin was sleeping but woke up when he walked in, Delbert "Bay" asked Kevin did he know who he was and Kevin said yes, it's Bay and then Kevin asked "Bay" how his business was going at his Magic Fingers Food Stand? They talked about 30 minutes. So Classmates: that's a great indication that Kevin is slowly but surely coming along.

Classmates please continue to keep our Classmate Kevin Hall in your prayers. (Praise God that he made it through 2-two Brain Surgeries). But Kevin has a long road to go, he will need ongoing physical therapy to learn how to use his hands again and to walk. The Doctors do not yet know the full extent or the damage that the stroke may have done to Kevin's body until he begins the physical therapy. Also Kevin was taken out of the ICU Ward and is now in a normal hospital room (and that's great news).

(Forgive me if I missed anyone in this update. If anyone else has an update of their own (then please feel free to post it. Thanks!!)

HAVE A GREATLY BLESSED WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

Love and Blessings, Phoebe
