Prayers for the Passing of Our Classmate and Willowbrook Pioneer: Patricia "Pat" Gray !!!!!

Today is a very sad day for me and I am posting this with a broken and a heavy heart. Today I'm mourning the loss of my very sweet, smart and supportive Dear Classmate and Sister Girl Friend Patricia "Pat" Gray. Pat was someone that I had known since the 7th grade at Willowbrook Jr. High School. Pat was a fellow Centennette with me and others. Pat was someone who supported me and who was always there for me, she shared many special moments with me, she was there for my Bridal Shower, my Wedding Day and my Baby Shower, Pat was someone who I would see at just about every Class Reunion that we had and that she could make it to. Pat I was so very grateful to have you as a dear friend. Right now I am reminiscing on the last time that I saw you six months ago last September at the 1st Annual All Alumni Picnic at Magic Johnson Park. We had such a great time laughing and catching up with one another that day. Who would have known that that would be the last time that I would see you, hug you, and laugh with you my friend. I will truly miss you Miss Patricia " Pat" Gray. As the tears now not only flow from my eyes; I also know that they have never stopped flowing from our fellow Classmate Myra Reed's eyes. Myra Reed & Patricia "Pat" Gray were "best friends"; they did just about everything together. Myra I can't even imagine your grief today or your grief a few days ago when you found out about your best friend Pat's passing. When I spoke with you yesterday Myra please don't forget to let me know if there is anything that I can possibly do for you; and remember if you just need to call me just to vent ;please feel free to give me a call. Myra I'm so sorry for your loss.

May Patricia "Pat" Gray R.I.P. !!

Classmates' time is winding up for all of us. This is and was a wake-up call for all of us. We never know when our Dear Lord will call any of us home (but) we must be ready and we must stay ready to meet the Lord at all times.
May God bless us all.

PRAYER

Lord, we come lifting the Gray Family up in prayer. Lord, we're asking for your comfort during their pain and sorrow at this unexpected time. Lord, we know that You are waiting to take their hands…to comfort them…and grant them peace as we speak. Lord, we know that You are wrapping your arms around them right now and forevermore. Lord please let the Gray family know that this did not catch you unaware. Lord, please let the Gray Family know that they may not understand at this moment why that their loved one Patricia is gone so soon; but in time they will find peace in knowing that you are always in control. Lord, I ask that you give the Gray Family strength; the kind of strength that only You can provide…for Lord you are the one who will help them put one foot in front of the other as they move through the days ahead. Lord, I ask that you help the Gray Family through their grief as the days pass by helping them to rest their minds and bodies as they continue to live on and go on even when they do not feel as if they can. Lord, let them know that Your healing of their grief is mighty and that You will carry them in the days when they are unable to stand. Lord, let them know that You are the constant in their lives when all else changes. Thank you, Lord, for already being an anchor and a rock for the Gray Family. Lord, let the Gray Family know that you will hold onto them not only and not just during these next trying days but always. Lord, we give You all the victory, all the glory, all the honor, and all the praise in the Precious Name of Jesus.

AMEN

Amen to the Prayer Phoebe!

To the Gray Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. May the grace of God be with you through this difficult time. I will keep your family in my prayers. I remember Patricia best from our Willowbrook Jr. High School days and as Phoebe stated Patricia was at our wedding in 1982 and she attended many other gatherings that we had back in the day. I always remember when Phoebe and I were married before we divorced seeing my classmates Patricia Gray, Myra Reed, Natanya Nelson, Lanita McElroy & her sister Ruth c/o '77, Rochelle Manago c/o '76, Yolanda Raphael, Cynthia Fountain, Bayette Davis, Geraldine Black & her sister Myra c/o '77 , and Linda Shaw at our house for different gatherings. It was great to see that some of the ladies remained close friends from back then until now from Centennial High School, Willowbrook Junior High School and from Elementary School. Patricia was a very dear school friend of ours, she was a really nice person with a sweet spirit. She will be missed and never forgotten. I will remember her sweet and kind spirit always.

R.I.P. with our Lord and Saviour Patricia!

- Love Reggie
